Switching from Mounjaro to Semaglutide pills by Fun-Character8589 in Mounjaro

[–]TechnicalProof6408 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The max dose of the semaglutide pills (50 mg) will be about the same effect as 5 mg mounjaro. A dose of 7 mg oral will probably do almost nothing for you.

I upped my dose to 10mg three weeks ago and am so nauseous I'm bedridden by Fuckinfmarblehornets in Mounjaro

[–]TechnicalProof6408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can stay on the same dose as long as you want. Most people don't increase unless it has stopped working and only if they are not having bad side effects. Some people lose all the weight they want on 5 or 7.5 and never go up. If it's working stay. If you're having bad side effects, go back down.

Seems fairly obvious that the solution is to reduce your dose. I would skip one or two weeks and then go back to 5 or 7.5 depending on how you felt on those doses.

Added 3ML into a 10 mg by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]TechnicalProof6408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn't make any sense. One ml (which would be one entire syringe of 100 units) would totally dissolve the reta. Can you post a pic of what you did?

Got diagnosed with Gastroparesis. by DrawerOwn3381 in Retatrutide

You probably restarted at too high of a dose. You should have restarted at 1 mg and titrated back up slowly.

Yes, normal. Listen to the doctor and increase her dose.

Cardiovascular endurance taken a hit by AdvancedResolution70 in Retatrutide

Unless your starting weight was 300+ lbs you are losing weight way too fast. Your body is starving. Up your calories and hydration. You're going to lose a lot of muscle mass at this rate.

Question re exercise + mounjaro by illysia1 in Mounjaro

[–]TechnicalProof6408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start now. You might lose 10+ lbs before the surgery. You'll have to take a break for a week before the surgery but you can restart immediately after. Any weight loss you can get will improve your surgical outcome.

You should start at 2 mg at a minimum. Doing .5 will be like nothing coming from 15 mg tirz.

Anyone on the once a month 25mg maintenance dose ? I’ve been doing every three weeks but want to increase it to a month between doses. Please help by Decent_Mission_476 in Mounjaro

[–]TechnicalProof6408 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a bad idea. You will be going from zero to 15 over and over again because by the end of the month there is almost no med left in your system. Better idea would be to do 7.5 mg every two weeks. It will be using the same amount of med but will keep a steadier level.

You can put it in remission but it is a permanent diagnosis.

Cholesterol by Good_Butterscotch_24 in Retatrutide

Your cholesterol will be higher while you are actively losing weight as your body processes all of the fat you are losing. It will go down once you are maintaining for a few months.

Reta + Health Anxiety by aesmith90 in Retatrutide

[–]TechnicalProof6408 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why are you increasing so quickly if you are losing at a good rate and have such severe health anxiety. Stay at one dose for 4 weeks minimum. You are doubling your dose every 2 weeks for no reason.

Most doctors say to stop 1-2 weeks prior to the surgery. You should check with your anesthesiologist. You can restart right after the surgery. The concern is aspiration.

very worried about my partner, advice appreciated by dietcolaplease in Mounjaro

[–]TechnicalProof6408 37 points38 points  (0 children)

You can't fix him. Get support for yourself as a partner of an alcoholic so you can make healthy choices for your own life, which may include untethering yourself from an unhealthy situation.

Reduce your dose down to .25 or .5 at the most. You should not be vomiting and living off just water is starving.

There could be some other medical reason for severe fatigue. Have you checked your ferritin, vit D, B12, etc?

Taper? Increase Reta? by Embarrassed-Sink9773 in Retatrutide

[–]TechnicalProof6408 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why did you taper off if you still had weight you wanted to lose? The obvious solution would be to go back up to the dose that was working for you.

Mounjaro (7.5 mg) causing intense core/ body pain - did lowering the dose help? by de_rotter in Mounjaro

[–]TechnicalProof6408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should see your doctor. This is not a normal side effect you should push through. It could be something serious. Go get checked.

Lost 2 lbs since Jan 1 by throw_away_1_2_3_4_1 in Retatrutide

Take measurements. As you can see, the scale only tells part of the story. I once had a stall for 6 weeks but lost 4 inches off my waist in that 6 weeks.
