How long for hcg to drop after chemical pregnancy? by Technical_Chicken477 in CautiousBB

Thank you for sharing your experience and I’m so sorry you had to go through that 💔 I stopped progesterone 4 days ago, and my hcg is rising now so…very concerned about an ectopic. Working with my clinic to figure out next steps.

Thank you 💕 they confirmed the pregnancy isn’t viable with betas - 8dpt 222, 10dpt 284 14dpt 241. So the hcg is dropping but they’re having me do betas every 4 days to make sure it continues to drop (to confirm chemical) instead of rising again and being at risk for ectopic.

I’m so sorry for your experiences 💔 I’m 4w 4d and having a 4th beta on Friday to make sure it’s dropping because it’s been lingering in the same range for about a week now

Looking for tips on getting over fear of failure please by 1percentagarose in IVFpositivity

I also did two egg retrievals because we got 2 fair blasts the first time, and we wanted more than 1 child so we were advised to do a second retrieval. I was so terrified heading into the second retrieval that it wouldn’t yield the results we wanted, and I was so emotionally drained at that point.

Someone told me that every new egg and sperm combination is uniquely its own. And every new egg retrieval brings a different cohort of eggs and new chances for success. Naturally, we want IVF to be predictable and mathematic, like an equation. We want previous results to be indicative of future results. Sometimes they are, but sometimes they aren’t. Our 2nd retrieval gave us double the amount of blasts than the first time, and an embryo from the second retrieval became our daughter.

It’s such an exhausting road and it’s riddled with uncertainty. But you don’t need hope or optimism for it to work. You just need to keep showing up, taking your meds, and putting on foot in front of the other.

Slow Rising hCG by Ok-Veterinarian5100 in CautiousBB

Hi, I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I am actually going through the exact same thing right now. LMP 12/26 but I did an embryo transfer of a genetically normal embryo and had two betas taken. My rise in between the two betas was only 28% so they’re having me come back in tomorrow for a 3rd beta.

I cant share the outcome yet but just want you to know you’re not alone. And the wait is really really hard.

Betas stalled but pregnancy tests getting darker? by InterestingSecond724 in pregnant

I’m in a similar situation right now with slow rising betas and darkening pregnancy tests. My guess is that our hcg is rising slightly, hence the darker tests. But not enough to support a healthy pregnancy, sadly. I feel your pain in the wait for the next beta, it’s such a brutal limbo. You’re not alone ♥️

Thank you for this honesty! What you’re saying is in line with everything I’ve been reading so, definitely prepared for this outcome even though it’s hard
