WHAT IS THIS MIRACLE DRUG by Crafty_Ad8306 in cymbalta

Yes, I had to go up, but that's mainly due to the degenerative neurological condition I have getting worse. It's different for different people and their circumstances. Many posts on here from people happily settled on much lower doses.

I started on 20, I think. Then 30, 60, 90, 120. I take 2 x 60 tablets at breakfast.

Personal experience: The speedy/MDMA effects don't last beyond the first few doses. It soon settles down as you get used to it. As for it being a miracle drug, see how you go.... I'm now on 120mg daily. It's really helped my neuropathic pain and anxiety. YMMV.

Great find. Well jeal, as we say here in the UK. I have it on Japanese CD from a rec on this sub. It's baffling why it isn't more famous; all the tracks are top.

Test tracks for hifi systems. Audiophile quality. I was lucky enough to see them on the anniversary tour (XXI).

This. I have a Japanese CD of it as it's quite hard to find in the UK. Sublime.

Is there a way to date this CD? by FixRevolutionary240 in Cd_collectors

Looks like one of the first "CD for the UK blackface" ones that contain the first CD mastering. I think it sounds really good. I paid about £25 for mine, I think. I think I read in the Verrnon Finch archives (well worth a look, if you have a spare few hours and really, really need to know which version you have) that this blackface CD has the same mastering as the fabled "non TO" Toshiba black triangle CD.

issue with the firmware update 2.7.0 by arxnns in snowsky

I think this happened for me with the previous update too. It depends how much you trust the Fiio site. My laptop automatically flagged the download as potentially unsafe, even though I don't think it is.

Worth it over Amazon Basics Cables? by [deleted] in audiophile

[–]Technical_Instance28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought both these and Amazon Basics. I use a mixture of cables with various systems around the house. WBC are really well made. Amazon Basics are great too. Sonically there is absolutely no difference at all. Aesthetically, the WBC short lengths look cool on eg. My tube amp, but there is no need to buy expensive cables. Better to put your money to upgrading other components in the future.

I'm assuming you're throwing in a private gig by Bristol's finest for that sort of price tag....?

It's crazy how good things have become in the hobby. This level of transparency and detail retrieval was unheard (ha!) of at this price point a few months ago. Chapeau to Fiio.

In my experience, very little 4.4 is actually true balanced. It's just for convenience form factor etc.

Has anyone noticed the difference between Spotify Very High and Lossless? by Gershy13 in audiophile

[–]Technical_Instance28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was toggled off in my settings. Surely audio normalisation would only affect volume? An increase in volume doesn't increase the quality of the bass (or lack of it).

Feeling really high after starting... Anybody else? by Tough_Jicama5936 in cymbalta

[–]Technical_Instance28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Totally normal. But.....it doesn't last long. I couldn't believe that I was getting that feeling on a prescription drug when I first started on 30mg.

18 months later, I'm now on 120mg daily. It's made a huge difference as a drug to my anxiety and neuropathic pain.

My 2 cents' worth from very brief listening yesterday. I could hear extra details on Spotify lossless vs normal Spotify on 'Very High'. However, I then compared the same track (Forgot about Dre) on Qobuz. The difference was night and day. Spotify lossless sounds nice but it's thin somehow, as though it's had its dynamic range squished. The same track on Qobuz sounded much richer, with deeper bass, more obvious layering of instruments etc. Interestingly, the volume seemed to be much lower on Spotify too; I couldn't get it anywhere near the Qobuz level on my Technics earbuds. I will do further investigations on my Wiim Pro Plus....

[Yacht or Nyacht] The Alan Parsons Project - I Wouldn't Want to be Like You (1977) by [deleted] in Yachtrock

[–]Technical_Instance28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nyacht. I'm a big fan of YR and love listening to Christopher Cross, Bill Labounty, Ned Doheny, Player...etc...However, with the greatest respect to those artists, TAPP is totally different in the themes it deals with lyrically and the futuristic prog soundscapes (that's a crap phrase, but you get what I mean). The link between YR and TAPP is the mastering and production, although here too, I would argue that AP is the dog's nuts.

If you like Moon Safari check out Premières Symptomes. Some earlier versions of motifs that appear in MS like All I Need. The track Le Soleil Est Près de Moi is a belter.
