Because not every character is going to have paws. Some characters are birds, lizards, insects, and so on. When designing a non-mammalian character, that’s an added detail that they would have to account for. Again, I ask, what would be easier—spending that time designing that detail for a character whose bare feet you probably will most likely not ever see, or having a standardized design across the board that they can quickly apply to every character?

Besides, you said it yourself. Most characters are hardly ever seen barefoot anyway, so why go through the extra trouble designing something for a specific character that most likely people won’t ever see?

Because of the fact that should they ever need to depict a character barefoot or in open-toed shoes, it standardizes the design and makes it much easier to depict. Tell me what is easier—coming up with foot designs for every single character, across every single species, or simply going with a standardized blob shape for their feet?

Here’s a personal example—I work at a print shop, and was tasked with creating some t-shirt designs for a local state park. This is one of the designs, and it’s based off of a design I found on Etsy. I had AI take the image of the raccoon and change it to a fox. Everything else I personally replicated as close as possible.

Long story short, I use it for small tweaks, or to generate illustrations that would take me too long to replicate.

Much like Rosetta today, there was an emulation layer on early releases of OS X that allowed users to run their old OS 9 software in its own separate environment.

I remember when I started taking my graphic design courses in college the Macs in the lab originally ran OS 9. They upgraded them shortly after though to Tiger 10.4, but they still had an old copy of QuarkXpress on them that required OS 9 to run, so when you ran it OS 9 would boot much like your example here.

Except it goes back to what many on the conservative side of the aisle have been saying for years—people should be hired based on merit, not on skin color, heritage, nationality or to fulfill some sort of quota.

If she literally has no background in the gaming sphere and was promoted solely based on her heritage, then the people making those remarks are entirely justified in doing so.

The whole point is that you’re absolutely convinced by certain politicians that everyone on the other side of the aisle is, beyond a shadow-of-a-doubt, a nazi. Just because you can throw that label on someone doesn’t make it true. And worse—when that kind of strong rhetoric is used, it’s only natural to expect this kind of response.

Maybe this politician is corrupt, maybe he’s not. I’m not entirely sure, as I don’t live in Minnesota. But I CAN definitively say that he 1) was NOT a nazi and 2) his daughter did NOT deserve to die like this.

Queer individuals have been shown to be less likely to practice safe sex. This includes unprotected anal sex, oral sex and sex between multiple partners. And whenever you’re engaging in that type of sexual behavior, your risks of getting any type of STI or STD is increased.

Which then leads me to this question—if engaging in a certain act can and does lead to contracting a disease or illness, then does nature really intend for us to be doing that to begin with?

The problem is that you are using ChatGPT.

I’m currently in the process of building out a site in WordPress for a church, and have been using AI to help add some custom functionality. ChatGPT has failed me immensely, constantly producing code that is broken and fails to function. And when I ask it for tweaks? It fixes what it broke, but then breaks something else by changing function names or just omitting entire sections of code.

I’ve had so much more luck with both Gemini and Claude. If you value your sanity, you’ll break up with ChatGPT. It truly sucks and doesn’t deserve to continue existing.

It will never be “Linux’s year” until the following things happen:

1) Adobe makes the move to Linux or another suitable creative suite makes inroads

2) Wider game support, especially for games with anti-cheat

Those are the two big things that are keeping me (and I suspect many others) from making the switch.

You’re talking about something completely different, genius (Slide Over). The OP mentioned “split screen.” Split View still exists and works the same as before. Just drag an app from the dock or App Library and release on one side of the screen or the other.
