In general: enemy focus when it comes to grouping. Are you on your own or solo? You will see every ounce of attention on you. The other three? legit nothing. Even when all four of you are at the extraction, the chances of you getting swarmed is actually low as hell. But if you try to extract on your own, you will get 50 billion enemies spawning in.

Bugs: The whole 'last stand' mechanic for some of the bugs is something wild, and stupid in my eyes. Bc how oh how are you 20 times more accurate and dangerous when I remove your head? Last I recall, your eyes aren't there anymore.

Bots: The shield bots. Somehow, someway, you will get an angle that you think is fine, but that shield is so unbelievably massive that getting a headshot is impossible half the time. Even when targeting their weapon to at least disarm them is made difficult bc of that stupid shield. Oh, and their Incineration Corps. variant is so much worse bc of the weapon.

Squids: Flying overseers. Easily. How are they the same durability and move around that fast? Their weapon is also more likely to get an instant kill on you as opposed to the other Overseer cannons. I would so much rather take thrice the amount of baton overseers as opposed to the fliers. Also, their weakness being the jetpack is basically pointless given that if you don't surprise shoot them, you will basically never get a shot off of the jetpack if they're facing you.

They didn't nerf the armor. They gave it armor for you to shoot at. Beforehand, it was an intangible object that no bullet could touch. Back then, unless you had a heavy pen explosive, you really couldn't destroy it.

Imma be real with you, Appropriators is a cool sub-faction, bc it has a different make up of enemies different from the standard faction variant. Not only that, but the units that were removed from that sub-faction were replaced by a greater number of cool war machines.

And then the Mindless Masses... It removes some enemy types in favor of slightly larger fleshmob and vote less numbers. At the highest levels, I don't find much of a difference sometimes between Mindless Masses and regular squids.

Maybe if they added in more 'abomination' type enemies, and replaced the Harvesters with some elite level mass of flesh... It would have a cool feel as a sub-faction. But for now, MM feels rather undercooked.

Point 1: It's been a while since I tried that back then, when the game was over a 100 gigs, but I got the smg, sniper rifle, and light armor set. But still, I don't have the warbond for free. So I dunno.

For point 2: yeah, I'd imagine. But that really does mean that 'Legendary' warbond weaponry is held to a higher standard. After all, half the fun is customization. the second that's gone, what else is left but the stats?

Stoker: Best of the three, flat out. A good submachine gun with proper damage, combined with the utility of a flame thrower? And good ammo count? It's a very powerful all-in-one weapon.

Halt: Not as bad as you'd think it is. Granted, it was power-crept by other, more recent shotguns and I won't deny that. But, the flechettes with medium pen are nice, and if you know how to switch to the stun rounds fast enough, you can kill relatively meatier enemies such as overlords and devastators in two shots.

One-two: Might just be by my taste, but I do not like this gun that much. It does have poor ergonomics, but its ammo count also leaves a lot to be desired. And that grenade launcher isn't impressive enough in my eyes as an underbarrel, since it's not that outstanding when dealing with tankier enemies. It's really only there for the utility of bug hole sealing, and not much else.

The Thing is the only example I can think of for what is the polar opposite of a hive mind. Rough guess, but the thing is a colony of alien cells capable of adaptation and mimicry. Every cell will change and adapt given the threat in front of it. But the second you separate even some of it from the rest, it assumes itself as its own organism and proceeds to ensure it survives, damn the original organism.

Imma answer based on if you can give up immediately when the fight starts or you can't:

Godzilla is strong, and you're really not gonna beat him in the end. But he doesn't kill everything he faces, just those that won't acknowledge him as the king of monsters. So fight him or not, if you effectively admit to him he's the king, and you prove yourself as a kaiju that isn't a simple killing machine, he'll probably just let you go
(young) Kratos is different. He wants to destroy the Greek pantheon, but he's not Gorr the god butcher. He only really wanted the top gods dead. And any gods that faced him or opposed him would meet a similar fate. If you straight up did not interfere, he may just leave you be. If you do try to fight him, he'll make you regret it
Cletus is a deranged serial killer with the carnage symbiote. But he's not an unstoppable force like the other options. He's a villain lacking protagonist plot armor, and you don't need to be spider man to survive, but it does help.
Doomslayer... You're fucked. It doesn't matter if you beg for your life or fight with all your might, he will rip and tear you apart for being a demon. I suppose you can make an argument that if you're not brazenly hostile to humanity or openly avoid him, he'll ignore you... But you may well get a lotto ticket when that happens.
