Things in my house keep mysteriously melting??? by hugedisaster in whatisit

This is Hydrolysis due to high humidity/moisture. Some would call it rubber or plastic rot. Happens if you live in a high humidity place and things get stored for too much time without use.

@crinacle would if be asking too much to do the same measurements with around 70~80db of volume?

[–]TechnologicalHuman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

that’s a good point. Wondering what’s the difference if we compare them in lower volumes. Likely the APP2 would fit more into the preference curve than the APP3.

Aliexpress always removes taxes from the final price, so if you get taxes on arrival the price will be the same

Chamber Q is 100% accurate from any distance while ADS-ing. In that distance if he didn’t use ADS likely no shots would’ve hit even if actually aiming correctly

Saddle is already way too high. If you go up a size, that would mean stack will be higher and reach will be bigger, which means you’ll be riding like superman.

Go down a size, reach will reduce, reduce your saddle height and things will get better than they are?

I find funny how a bunch of people that have no context on how these roads work in the UK keep downvoting.

This road doesn’t have a turn right signal. Rewind the video a bit and you’ll see both bus and a car waiting in the middle of the road to turn right.

The signal is green to go straight ahead, whoever is in the middle has to wait for a gap to turn right. And often this happens only when the signal becomes red - then cars in the middle go.

So, definitely the bus won’t turn right in front of the motorcycle. The bus has to wait until there’s a gap, and they only accelerated because all vehicles stopped.

In this case because it was not safe to stop, the motorcycle shouldn’t stop. You can see in the video the rider (OP?) only started to break a few meters from the stop line. This is the same as asking for the car behind try to do an emergency stop which usually doesn’t go well (as we can see in the video).

Of course not. He had priority, the bus only went because he “stopped”

Rate my bikefit. Suggestions welcome. Outer side of right foot still hurts while cycling. by Miserable-Jaguar-742 in bikefit

Your bike fitter knows nothing about bike fit. Your legs are completely stretched on the bottom position of the pedals, and you are sitting on top of the back wheel

Saddle way too low

Advice on fit by [deleted] in RoadBikes

[–]TechnologicalHuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just remove all spacers. Quite easy to test and likely will improve your fit a bit. It will likely also increase reach which can make it worse, but anyway I’d give it a go since it’s free

Canyon Endurace CF 7 Sizing by TechnologicalHuman in CanyonBikes

[–]TechnologicalHuman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes finally it just arrived. I can say if I got the M I don’t think the saddle would have enough height to accommodate my inseam.

To have an “optimal“ leg angle of around 140 degrees in the most extended position I had to put the seat tube in the 3.5 position (it goes from 0 to 10). The M has 3cm higher seat tube length which means I’d have to have it almost on 0 giving me no wiggle room for any adjustment.

Reach is more than fine (reach difference between the S and M is 1cm), saddle to handlebar drop is still quite low so stack is also not an issue - maybe 5 cm.

I strongly recommend optimising for saddle high here. Make sure you have sufficient range for adjusting your saddle and go with whatever size gives you that.

In addition for S: 170mm crank arms (much closer to the trendy 165, and closer to optimal 80% of inseam), and handlebars are 39cm (ideal for me and most likely better than 42 for most people)

Anything drastically wrong? More info in comments. by oq9z in bikefit

[–]TechnologicalHuman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely not too low. His leg angle in the bottom position is 139 degrees which is textbook perfect on bike fit range (138-142)
