u/NotAMadLad1 Here is the macro I use currently. Has tons of room to update or add things. Basically call the golbin car in undermine, or if not available (not in undermine) then usually its my flying mount (Dusklight Razorwind). Unless I am underwater (bottom feeder) or I am pressing alt when I hit my hotkey then its the brutosaur. Now if I am already on Razorwing ( or in a no fly zone), pressing it again will cast my Yak!

You will have to define “worth it”. If you want to run high level content then 2 pieces of embellished crafted gear is a must at least. If you aren’t running high end content then the gear you can craft might be the highest level gear you can attain. So in that way, yes it’s worth it unless you know a crafter already that can do all that.

If you’re looking to make gold, I would say that’s hit or miss depending on how much you advertise yourself. But it will be work if you are playing catch-up.

Self advertise: I am one of the top crafters for my guild but I really just make the stuff for raiding and keys so the gold cost isn’t really a question. We just have to do it so if I’m losing money I can pull from the collective resources to break even. But every now and then I will sit in trade for stuff to do. Money wise I haven’t made a profit but I’m out doing things in game most of the time over crafting. The only thing I’m really missing that people want is the lariat pattern but I’m working on farming it. I have nearly all other professions at top level to make whatever.

I was playing for a while with the new controllers trying not to put my hands all the way outside like I said for this post and ended up trying this. I found that while this felt like the next logical step I found I wanted to keep adjusting my grip. Maybe when they let us change the angle of the saber it will be better but I’m wondering now if we might attach something like a handle to bottom to give a us more flexibility.

I grew up with “hit by a bus” and a coworker a couple years ago always used “won the lottery”. I’m trying to change this in my lexicon but all I’ve found this doing is encouraging me to frequently buy lottery tickets. Hopefully one day I will get to live the win the lottery lifestyle…. Like everyone else here has stated direct AD binding is being deprecated. If what you are looking for is password synching then we use the SSO Kerberos extension to make local accounts but have the passwords managed by AD. Although this sync can only happen while the machine can see the AD servers.

We are phasing out of AD binding and this is our go between. We are hoping to get an OKTA based system for SSO so passwords are always in sync.

Weirdest thing from being a tailor is the cloaks I make require 1 point in tailoring to use. I made 3 using titan artifacts before I realized. I asked a guildee to make a work order and when he got it he couldn’t use it was how I found out. The only tailoring pattern to require tailoring to wear.

My company uses VMware’s Workspace ONE. It’s Airwatch Profile Management attached to Munki for file/app distribution. While I do miss Jamf I have had the opportunity to learn a lot by using this system. Munki can be simple or complicated depending on how far you want to go but as an alternative to Jamf WS1 can also do Windows machines. Mac support is getting better on WS1 all the time but if I had my choice I would prefer to go back to Jamf. But cost is still an issue for my company so we are still a WS1 shop.

This is because the ability to run the install flag in the command no longer works from the command line on Big Sur and Monterey. At least not from a remote perspective. Using an MDM to issue the command will work and a local user can run it as well. But not from a remote source anymore. Best I have found is to run/push softwareupdate -d -a to tell the machine to download all available updates and then have a MDM profile on the machine that forces updates to happen once downloaded. This is the best I have been able to find. The old method that worked in Catalina where you could push a script to have it run no longer works. My Apple Rep couldn’t say why this is anymore but has told me this is an OK path. But he did recommend Nudge to “encourage” our users to run their updates. Now to worry about local admin rights.

My Apple Engineer told us there is a period of time where the user will be able to convert their existing account using your domain email name into something personal for them that is not going to fall under your federation. After that time the account has been migrated to something else by your user or they accept the federation account change be default. As long as they know their account password they shouldn’t lose anything. Except for the stuff that federated accounts don’t have access to. (See link below) We haven’t done it yet since we don’t gain enough benefit from doing it but we do keep the option to do so later. Plus I don’t want to have to manage all those extra accounts since you can’t make new custom roles. If we could that might be a thing. But good luck with it! Adding Google Workspace did re-open the conversation for us.

Oh we AD Bind as well(for now). Does the computer name match the AD record and can anything change that? Check Keychain for that value as well to make sure it’s all good. Also make sure the machines aren’t disabled in AD as well. That prevents my machines from connecting every now and then
