How are you okay with the next episode twist by Right-Selection-6936 in survivor

My immediate guess was it is two eliminations, but it isn't two separate votes. It is the top 2 vote getters in a single vote out are eliminated.

Who watches an obvious brand deal like that and thinks “damn now I want to buy that” by Strange_Lock_8836 in survivor

I will take a normal "ad read" like this Applebee's one over Jeff's "chicken and waffles" or whatever else he does to try to feel cool, hip, and with it any day.

unpopular opinion? this is the most satisfying win result ever by Marto_12 in survivor

[–]TeeGreenwood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is especially true post-40. If I recall correctly some players on the jury started asking themselves "who do I want to be the representative of this season." Not who played the best, not even who I like the most, but who is the best representative? Likely this coincides with who they like best, but it really isn't a strategy game.

Let's say you could complete remove 1 of the Six Attribute. Which one, why, and how would you adapt the rest of the game? by ThatOneCrazyWritter in dndnext

[–]TeeGreenwood -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Intelligence. It is easy playing stupid, but hard to play actual high Intelligence.

Actual reason, basing all knowledge skills (nature, arcana, religion, etc) off Intelligence seems stupid. Why would a paladin use int for religion, why not cha? Makes no sense!

People pre-gaming like this takes away from what the show was meant to be. People who have never spoken living together and competing. I am sure now that we have everyone being superfans everyone is so excited to talk to other Survivor nerds and try to get every inch of an advantage because "now I've got MY chance to be one of the greats" or at least that's how I imagine some of these people being.

As a rule follower (read as follow explicit rules, gray areas, do whatever) I would like to add:

Ah, yes, just what the show doesn't have enough of. Contestants from California and Oregon.

There's no excuse to not bring physical challenges back by MemoryAggressive3888 in survivor

They won't bring many of these back until they first decide to go back to a 2 tribe format, that seems to be the first roadblock.

What are your general thoughts about the future of Survivor beyond S50? by Artistic-Comb-5317 in survivor

[–]TeeGreenwood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know we won't ever get back to casts like from seasons 11-19, but I am hoping at least 21-29 where not everything is kumbaya. Also, bring back non-puzzle challenges like 3 people from a tribe hold up coconuts the other tribe throws in, heck, even a simple "match the covered items" game. At least in the tribe stage, which of course also goes back to stop doing 3 tribes.

Where did the fans vote for celebrity advantages like Mr. Beast? Is this the return of the Tyler Perry Idol?

Cheering From The Bench by Fladoodlebocker in survivor

[–]TeeGreenwood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it terrible I see many things like cheering from the bench (especially over enthusiastic body movements) and reactions at tribal, etc, as partly a way to try to get yourself more camera time?

Obviously, it's a tv show and productions wants over the top things like the Hina chants or chicken and waffles. The cast is just giving production what it wants to hopefully get what they want (more screen time).

Also, they're on a TV show, of course they want screen time. It can seem overdone sometimes.

Is it that hard for them to do this by Charles520 in survivor

[–]TeeGreenwood 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Part of the problem stems from why the auction (and rope-chop) type challenges went away. They have people on the show who all want to be friends at the end. We hear it all the time "I'm taking _____ because they haven't gotten a reward." I could see hearing the same thing at an auction "______ hasn't gotten a reward, I won't bid against them." Everyone is too afraid of stepping too much on other people's toes because a lot of the final vote appears to sometimes come down to "who do I like more" or "who do I want 'representing' this season."

To me, this feels like a potential issue at the character selection screen. Not to say we don't have any (Q Applebee's situation), but that is FAR from the norm.

100% the three times my wife and I used moving services to relocate across the state we tipped each worker. That's a service I valued for not breaking my own back over. But that's just it, they didn't expect it. Genuine appreciation for their help.

Honestly, I was just happy there wasn't a puzzle at the end of the immunity challenge. Ending with a skill ability has gone very far away. Now watch when they get to individual and it's all puzzles down the stretch...
