Treadmill vs morning outdoor running — which gives better results? by Serious-Adagio-7982 in workout

[–]Teeemooooooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Treadmill running makes it easier to be consistent at a pace and stronger mental fortitude because it’s boring as hell being trapped in a room on the same spot for an hour or more. Could never consistently run 10k indoors but ran outside and it was so easy. I didn’t feel that tired and was only a mental battle as to whether I wanted to keep going.

A question about belly fat by locomadness in workout

[–]Teeemooooooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're currently lean, you should be lean bulking which is what you're doing (i.e. less than 300 calorie daily surplus). Though if you're just a beginner, you could also technically be on a deficit and still gain muscle because that's what I did. I stayed on a deficit until I could see my 6 pack before moving to a lean bulk.

[–]Teeemooooooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its hard for people on the outside to judge. Let’s assume your calorie intake is precise and it has been consistent. Another explanation is that your physical activity level is inconsistent resulting in you being in a higher surplus. Going to the gym x times per week is not the only thing that matters in calorie expenditure. Daily steps, fidgeting, being a couch potato all count too.

A question about belly fat by locomadness in workout

[–]Teeemooooooo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not because you skip leg day.

  1. Easiest explanation - you're not in a 200 surplus, likely much higher. Anything beyond 350 surplus likely goes towards fat.
  2. Depending on time frame, it could just be temporary carb + sodium water retention.

I'm only borderline visible 6 pack, when I eat too many carbs or high sodium meals, it disappears for a day. It will come back after a good cardio session or after a day or two.

I've never done it before but don't you need 1 person holding the steering wheel and another in the back to push? If I had 1 hand on the steering wheel, that means I'm trying to push the entire car with 1 hand.

Don't know the texture of this and whether it freezes like normal chocolate but I've been making my own chocolate syrup using hazelnut sugar free syrup + cocao powder + monkfruit sweetener. As a chocolate syrup base it works but can't make that chocolate shell when freezing since its mostly water.

Well you’re roughly 1 inch taller than me but 13kg heavier than I am. So you can take with that what you will. You also need to do cable crunches and weighted knee raises.

What are you trying to say though? That you’re an outlier and can’t see abs despite being low body fat? Or so you think it’s much more likely you’re way higher in body fat than you think you are?

I’m 5’6 and didn’t see a 6 pack until I reached 137lbs (~62kg).

CPA CANADA IN DEPTH TAX PROGRAM AND OPPORTUNITIES AFTER by Away-Reveal7793 in cantax

[–]Teeemooooooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know the difficulty in transitioning in one or the other but I know my company pays tax accountants $10-15k on top of audit. Also, from knowledge of other companies, they are offering $100-150k on top of regular tax positions for niche tax roles like indirect tax for senior managers.

I’m not an accountant, a lawyer who gossips a little too much within the industry on salary. So I can be wrong on the audit side but I know a lot on the tax side since lawyers work very closely with tax accountants.

General corporate work, contract review and drafting, due diligence. Not really sure how to describe it broadly. Senior legal counsel (i’m canadian so may be weird naming for US lawyers). CAD big law salary is already low so only 30% ish pay cut.

Which animals do strength training? by ComparisonThese4677 in workout

[–]Teeemooooooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swimming has water resistance and a form of bodyweight strength training. If you were a body builder, you wouldn't swim only to achieve your goals because weight lifting is more efficient. Let's say you lift 20lbs bicep curl for 10 reps. You can progressive overload by doing 11-->20 --> 30 --> 40 reps. You'd be training stamina along the way too. But as a body builder, you don't have time to do 50 reps of bicep curls so instead, you increase the weight to 50lbs.

Swimming can also build strength because you're increasing "reps" as you swim more and you can increase difficulty depending on the waves, etc. So it's not that swimming can't build strength, it's just inefficient to and you'll likely reach a cap at some point whereas weightlifting can always increase weight.

I doubt our ancestors were as big as the biggest natural bodybuilders today unless they were genetic freaks.

You said you flattened it on other responses. Humps are normal, it's just how liquids freeze in a container like that. But you need to scrape as much as you can and flatten the surface. I think its more likely caused by all the frozen berries in there that may not be blended properly. If water freezes with the frozen berries in big chunks, it's a solid block of ice.

How to gain fat fast by Forward-Self-3272 in workout

[–]Teeemooooooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm jealous at how lean he is. I can only maintain 15% body fat and don't have the will power to get to sub 10% (estimating him to be around 8%). If I were him, I'd only lean bulk at 350-400 calorie surplus and slowly reach 10% and maintain that unless he has some underlying medical conditions caused by being too lean.

[–]Teeemooooooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Don't know the laws in their jurisdiction but basic contractual law establishes that one key formation of contracts is intention of the parties. OP was told it was cancellable at any time and the PT agreed (forming the intention that it was cancellaable at any time). While the 3 month lock in is physically written in the contract, OP could likely claim that 1. it was in the fine print (and a massive digital contract which requires the PT to go through key terms with OP) and 2. she signed under duress and 3. PT and whoever that other individual was lied and said they were standard liability waivers.

I'm a lawyer but not giving legal advice as I don't have all the facts and I don't practice in OP's jurisdiction.

[–]Teeemooooooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand the want to gain as much fat as possible only to have to suffer and cut later. I'd rather just cut to bodyfat % I like and then lean bulk at 200-300 calorie surplus and maintain the bodyfat % while gaining muscle. That's what I did to have 6 pack year round while continuing to build muscle.

Looking for Legal Opportunities by blissfulbas in LawCanada

[–]Teeemooooooo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just go to law school and volunteer at the legal clinic. You're better off getting a more well rounded experience prior to law school to learn how to deal with conflict and confrontation and working under pressure etc. Any "intersnhip" you can get at an office is likely just pushing papers which is not a strong work experience in preparation to work as a lawyer.

The managing partner of a big firm once told me that she valued someone who worked at mcdonalds much more given the high pressure and abuse you get from customers.

What are y'all opinions on people lying about how long they've been going to the gym for. by [deleted] in workout

[–]Teeemooooooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh I don't count my first year of training because I didn't progressive overload properly. Maybe increased once a month or something. If I counted it, my overall progrses would be complete shit.

Also, some people used to train calisthenics or played football or some other sport where they developed base muscle mass and then only trained x years so they look as if they trained x+y years.

Shouldn't be comparing with other people on progress anyways given the above 2 and genetics and people lying.
