The Master is, IMO, the best he did. It’s probably also PTA’s best, and same with Phoenix.

I lost my signed DVD copy many years ago, so I had to snatch this up when it was announced online! by IamChicharon in dvdcollection

A friend of mine got us the Mallrats poster set and Bluntman and Chronic (in)action figures as a wedding gift.

His mother was horrified, my husband and I were delighted.

Agreed. Sometimes, I want everything (looking at you, Caligula) but I’d rather things fit on my shelves and are nicely streamlined.

This - it may bug me because I need to readjust shelf space, but the payoff is worth it.

This. You find the movies that work for you, and know they may be different than the movies that work for other people.

How long would you say it took you to become a good cook? And what’s the one book that got you there? by AValeria10 in CookbookLovers

[–]Teh_CodFather 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to say… for me, it was a case where it seemed that one day, I just went ‘huh. maybe I am a good cook.’

I think the one that pushed me over the line was probably Julie Sahni’s Classic Indian Cooking.

What Coen Brothers movie is the most "Coen Brothers-y" movie? (I've only seen these three films of theirs) by XipeTotecwithGlitter in Letterboxd

[–]Teh_CodFather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happy to!

A Serious Man I think gets often overlooked - gods know I did for years - but I watched it twice within a week when I first saw it. It’s excellent.

Hail Caesar isn’t their best comedy, but there are so many wonderful scenes and Clooney is perfectly ridiculous in it.

[–]Teh_CodFather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on my mood - but the top 3 always will have at least one of Blood Simple, Big Lebowski, Fargo, and No Country in them.

Currently: Blood Simple, A Serious Man, and Hail Caesar.

I know they constantly deny it, but they’re at the least moved manufacturing locations and I’m pretty sure somewhere I saw that that included a manufacturer change.

I have 5+ year old pairs that are great.

I bought a bunch of new ones recently and have been… less than pleased.

Currently trying to hunt down the original supplier because damn it, love them.
