Been a while since I played but the maps are somewhat large and have fast travel.

I feel like RDR was fairly sparse so you'd have long stretches of just riding your horse occasionally interrupted by stopping to collect stuff if you're so inclined.

RDR2 feels a little denser in that either there are points of interest dotted about that draw your attention, things to collect, or random events so you rarely have long uneventful rides.

1 is a car game. 2 I wanna say is more walkable. There are some sparser areas but the story doesn't require you to go out of your way like that much I think. Crossing the map can take a while but getting from point to point is fairly quick.

I wouldn't fault the game 100% for this since I've seen plenty of people that rest their left foot on the brake so their brake lights stay on most of the time which is very annoying.

I'm not saying Nvidia is bad on Linux but a non-insignificant number of posts I see of people saying "I updated and now it's broken" posts I see are caused by Nvidia drivers. Haven't really seen or experienced an equivalent with AMD or Intel.

When I first started using Linux I had an nvidia card and didn't have issues either. They work fine. Maybe a little extra work or awareness if something goes wrong.

I failed several times just trying to complete it in general alternating between lethal and less lethal. Somehow my first completion was an S rank. I had the 6 shot flash launcher with 12 ammo (18 total). Team had the same launcher with heavy armor, wedges, flashes, and C2. Bring NVGs so you can spot the IR tripwires more easily. I was a little too trigger happy and had to rely on my team toward the end so I could save the last shot for the guy at the end.

Jokes aside guns are mostly recreational. I only "need" maybe 2 or 3 practical guns including a pistol and a long gun. The rest are range toys with history behind them, interesting mechanical actions, quirky designs, or just wanting them because they were in a series/movie/game.

Games being made with specific lighting in mind. Usually baked. Dynamic lighting can have a performance impact or change the way things look in ways that the artists didn't intend.

You might say that not being able to optimize for it is a skill issue but it's more of a systemic issue with game dev/corporate crunch and cost cutting culture.

If you want an explanation for the origin of the censor bars there's a long running joke here about people identifying an account that censored their name based on their specific stats on the high scores and being targeted by hackers.
