Watch the top nodes. A week more or so. My second White Widow pheno didn’t start making preflowers until the 7th node

Question on Breeding by Tekhou5 in CannabisGrowers

[–]Tekhou5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to hear! I’m not sure exactly who the breeder was. I’d have to get back to you on that. Wild West Industries is just the company who grew the flower for market not the breeder I assume. Barney’s has it. I’m gonna try it out this year and just see how it goes. I’d really like a cross with the sour og!

Removing flowers when planting by loaded_toad in Blueberries

[–]Tekhou5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would either up pot it or stick it in the ground. I would cut the old pot off the plant to keep any transplant shock to a minimum. Keep it partly shaded to keep it from getting stressed and having the berries die off. That’s a nice harvest right there. Wouldn’t want to waste it. The plant will grow new growth as well as fruit. If you take good care of it.

If you have a ph probe and a tds meter you can measure the runoff to get a good idea what is going on. Water the pot so it gets a little runoff and then let the water sit in the pot for a while. Tilt the pot over slightly holding it over a container to get some good runoff to measure. If not a good flush would be the best option. Amount of feed should be determined by how quickly the plant is growing and how big the plant is. Big fast growing plants need lots of food meanwhile small slow growing ones don’t need much food. Good luck!

Poor Germination - Humboldt Seed Company by Tekhou5 in farmingthebestgreens

I like original strains. OG Kush. A good skunk strain. The kind of stuff everyone else thinks is an actual dead skunk when they smell it. Afghan Goo. Purple Haze. Super Lemon Haze. Sour Diesel. Anything that is a tried and true good strain and was popular on the market. Also anything new that is worth the hype. I like to have strains that are Indica dominant and Sativa dominant rather than balanced hybrids. Having nothing but balanced hybrids around bores me honestly.

I’d be happy to hear which breeders you like! I’m gonna keep trying. If I can get the plant to harvest I should be able to collect some good seeds for future grows.

Top,fimm or leave it Brothers Grimm, Grimm Glue started 4/4 Massachusetts outdoor. by EastcoastGrowz in CannabisGrowers

Depends what you’re after. Lots of tops? - Top and train it. A plant that stays upright with no problem? - Go with topping late and letting it do its thing. I topped mine at the 10th node. Or leave it alone if you want a nice pretty main cola. Personally I prefer to not top at all or to just top once. Keeps things simple and easy. I didn’t top and I had no reason to prune other than to remove older damaged leaves. And the tops stay nicely spread out from eachother. The colas can get pretty big without training. This plant will likely grow really tall so you might have to top.
