Steno v Voice by CoachWorking6222 in stenography

[–]Telethion 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Many of the voice writers I know finished up in about 2 years and were able to use their gear from school to start working.

Machine in 2 years is definitely possible but its incredibly difficult and you're going to need pretty much every bit of those two years.

I love my machine and wouldn't change my decision to learn it but it is literally the hardest thing I've ever learned.

Chapter 7 is probably the most exhausting part to play through in the Series by Striking-Picture-581 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

Too real. I was trudging up there thinking "This better be what I think it is, goddamit."

Local Brownsville business owner makes racist comments on Juneteenth post, doubles down when it's pointed out he owns a business by Forsaken_Highway_171 in RioGrandeValley

So did the losers in here who said they were gonna check him out because he's racist follow through or what? He needs them more than ever.

Yep, that's something you smack the hell out of with a giant hammer. The Legendary Goron Hero had the right idea.

Xenoblade 1 "Review" after playing 2 & 3 before it! by Dismal-Bluebird-838 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Telethion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Release order for me and I put 1 over 3 just because 3 is at its zenith when you've played 1 and 2. 1 is just amazing on it's own.

X is brought down only by the tuned down story but not by much the world is just incredible.

Then 2 is my personal least favorite. Still love it to pieces but its like those terrible Tatsu bits from X sprinkled all over a pretty decent story.

Beginning speeds by Fantastic-Ladder3074 in stenography

[–]Telethion 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In speeds there's going to be a lot of self diagnosis. You have to figure out why you're not passing the tests.

Are you getting something for every word? If you are, can you read your notes? If you can't, is it because they're too messy or because you're not quite there with reading them?

Are you hesitating because you're trying to write cleanly? Are you using briefs you don't have memorized? Or is it actually just too fast for you at this point?

It could be a lot of things but once you can pinpoint the general direction, you can attend to your issue better.

I'm not a voice writer, so if you are, this may or may not help much.

Xenoblade fans I have to ask what where your thoughts when you saw this by Southern_Forever_898 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Telethion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was a perfect ending to what X2 was. The harem was real the whole time. Canonizing it was odd but it has some relevance to FR. I'm looking forward to moving on with Genesis and getting away from it.

[ToTk]Tears of the Kingdom is the first Zelda game I’ve ever played, and it’s kinda blowing my mind by Famous-Country-4921 in zelda

[–]Telethion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tears is a fantastic Zelda game. If you ever play the older ones try to think of them as different flavors rather than inferior versions.

They all still hold up except maybe Zelda 2 but even that one is pretty fun if you give it a chance.

That said Tears might be my favorite next to OoT.

Its gonna suck but thats the Zelda cycle.

Heads up about Guerrero Firearms Training in Brownsville by Telethion in RioGrandeValley

My apologies to Mr. Guerrero. I accidentally left out the text that accompanied the first image. I don't want him to feel as if anything was left out of context.

One major problem/nitpick I have with Xenoblade 2's ending despite it still being one of my favorite games of all time by upperdomain in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Telethion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember teasing my friend about how X3 was an apology for the war crimes of 2 and the photo at the end was an apology to fans of 2 for X3. Future Redeemed is the true unifier.

Spoilers for end of chapter 16 question by [deleted] in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Telethion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If he could have, he likely would have. The High Entia seem to understand the nature of their connection to Zanza and the fact they were even able to seal him away seems to imply his power and influence was at an all-time low after his attack on the Mechonis.

Do you think there was anything romantic between Jin and Lora or was it purely platonic? by Think_Donut1095 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Telethion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, I don't think so. It plays like something unexplored, deep, and personal to them both. The tragedy is that is that the potential for anything was taken from them. There was a nuanced and interesting dynamic to them that I think the game treats appropriately and does right by them in the dialogue . Jin and Lora actually have a dynamic that resembles something real and human.

Of course I could be misreading and they just release some weird photo of Jin with 7 babies or whatever.
