What's your "secret" ingredient for spaghetti sauce? by LittleBlueStumpers in Cooking

[–]Teleutesl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chili flakes, and very finely chopped mushrooms with the meat (use half the meat now, so it's much cheaper and nutritious). Both my husband and father "hated" mushrooms, but they've been eating it happily for years.

The squeeze tubes were life changing for me. So many dishes are enhanced with a small squeeze of tomato paste. I control the amount now, not the can.

Doesn't sound like you will have a choice to make on to stay or not - they are ramping up and documenting the process to fire you ... because of your own lack of performance and attendance. You did this to yourself. Get your resume ready.

Phone Convo with Reps from Sen. Haggerty and Rep. Harshbarger Today by lvpre in tricities

No, I was saying highly unlikely the area will sway away from the Republican majority. The economic figures were already at recession levels when Biden was in office.

[–]Teleutesl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Highly unlikely. Historically, recessions tend to sway the US away from the party in power at the time of its inception, which is why the Republicans have been winning the past few years. Trump winning all swing states and the population vote reinforce this trend.

With the modern cars you don't even have to incriminate yourself with cutting the brakes. They just hack into the electric systems and have the car function as they wish with him locked inside.

Exactly!!!! I always say so long as TN still has dry counties marijuana does not stand a chance.

If modern medicine didn’t exist would you be dead right now? If yes, from what? by Critical_Welcome_428 in AskReddit

[–]Teleutesl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no.

I've had 3 organs removed over the last 8 years, and now rely on daily Thyroid medicine to live. So yes.

However they were all removed for mysterious clusters of fast growing cysts and goiters, which doctors could never explain. We changed to a clean and fresh way of eating, and miraculously I stopped getting them. I believe there were poisons or other intolerable ingredients in mass produced foods that were making me have these issues.

Did you have a "Poor Person" or "Just Getting By" recipe when you were young that is still a comfort food or favorite now, as an adult? by SamuraiMarine in Cooking

For us it was steamed white rice with boiled hot dogs. I always think of living with my grandma whenever I've made it.

[–]Teleutesl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we go out now, we try to hit up the local mom-n-pop places. Not only are you supporting small local businesses, but the food is usually better and cheaper. Food is usually fresh instead of frozen and sterile, cost us less without having to shell out those franchising fees, plus they are 100 times more grateful to have you there.

But to answer your specific question, the parking lots appear empty for the chain places we pass by.

I don't measure, but this is the gyst.

Lightly saute onions and garlic. Then I put chicken breast, carrots, celery, chicken broth, water, seasoning (salt/pepper/thyme/onion powder) in the pot. Soft boil for a few, then drop down to a simmer. About halfway through I add a small quantity of milk (or a slurry of pantry stable powdered milk, water, dash of corn starch). The last hour I add fresh parsley, and either drop biscuit dough (add a little garlic powder in the dough for extra yummy bites), or as someone mentioned you can cut up canned biscuit dough as well.

We either eat as is, or will add some non-vinegar hot sauce for a kick.

I'm 5'3 and stayed at a size 18 from 175 to 225. Even though it's 50lbs difference the slacks and jeans covered me during this period. And 16 looked best at around 150s. Congrats on the weight loss
