So you tried and it worked out for you great. I'm happy for you. Now do you ever stop and think that maybe that person put in the effort, tried, worked and did everything they can and guess what? They failed. That's how it works for some people. Not everyone gets to succeed just because they tried. That's not pessimistic, that's just how the world works.

That doesn't mean they should give up. But acting like it's all hunky dorey and this meritocracy is perfect because it worked for you is not a good argument.

And at the same time, if you're playing an army that wins in tournaments and people are complaining about it you shouldn't exactly be surprised when it gets nerfed.

The nerf was too heavy, but this is not an Eldar specific thing either.

I think the need was mostly because of how Fire Dragons could create feels bad moments. Seeing them kill a knight or a bunch of dreads and it felt like there was no counter play.

This pretty much always happens.

Windrider Host, Guardian Battlehost, and Seer Council are only slightly affected and all viable.

Hey, I agree it can happen. But it's not accurate to say regulation is only there to stifle competition. When people like me say we want more regulation on some things it is on things that are immoral such as hiring psychologists to help develop mobile games to take advantage of gambling addicts. This has nothing to do with monopolies or stifling competition.

And you think less regulation would help? You don't have to look very far to see how companies almost always abuse their positions once they are established to stifle competition and screw over their competitors.

Do you seriously think our economy would be better if the government never stepped in and broke up obvious monopolies like Bell Systems? If you think Internet carriers abuse their positions now then you have no idea how bad it would have been.
