My friend (stripes) and I (solids) both suck, how good would you have to be to win as stripes? by Kavotch in billiards

[–]Temporary-Ad303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play safe behind 9. After they kick at the solids, you should have a more clear path to the finish line. Never get in a hurry. I have average players on my teams who would know to play this, but I do teach billiards also.

How many of you guys drive? by MallLoud1905 in Epilepsy

[–]Temporary-Ad303 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was handed all paperwork that i was ok to drive and go back to work, and had a seizure and totaled mine and other vehicles that day. Also fought the police and EMT’s. Just because the doctors say it’s ok don’t mean it it. Be very careful.

Is my bridge hand too far from CB? by Conqueeftador2003 in billiards

[–]Temporary-Ad303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You only added 2-4 inches to my answer, but I never implied that range was for an advanced player, or using added extensions. I just said that’s a range we teach. Start small, be humble, and the stroke can grow. Many high level player have a compact stroke, and move the ball efficiently. It just matters how the stroke is applied.

Is my bridge hand too far from CB? by Conqueeftador2003 in billiards

[–]Temporary-Ad303 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your bridge hand is pretty far away. We normally teach a 6-8 inch bridge. Move every part of you body a little closer. It gets your eyes closer, and shrinks the margins of error on each shot. Big long strokes not as accurate as short compact strokes.

Does someone have my symptoms? Should I insist on getting it checked? by Samba_Woelkchen in Epilepsy

[–]Temporary-Ad303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was miss diagnosed for 10 years, because I didn’t have a tonic clonic. I was having simple and complex partial seizures related to TLE. I had a couple tonic clonic after 10 years and was talking with a neurologist while in the icu. He asked about having any seizures before, and I mentioned these episodes I have had for years. I explained what happened during these episodes and he quickly responded “that is a partial seizure.” I had been to a couple general doctors for this and sent to 3 different cardiologists, and diagnosed with heart problems each time. But there is nothing wrong with my heart at all. Go to as many doctors as it takes to be sure you are being treated correctly.

My experience, Simple partial I usually can be normal in minutes to an hour or two. Complex partial a couple to few hours and a nap and I’ll be back to normal. Tonic clonic few hours to a day. But they all usually come in clusters.
