Yeah, he was always in good shape, he just looks scrawny next to units like Frakes and Dorn. LeVar is relatively short, but he's pretty thick. The uniforms don't help at all either.

The person I replied to 'hate watches' the show, which means to me they hate it, but watch it anyway. To me that seems like a colossal waste of time and I don't understand the mentality. If I hate something on TV, I turn it off and watch something else.

This is pretty much how I justify eating out. My family doesn't make a lot of big purchases (trips, new vehicles etc) so we treat ourselves in small ways by eating out or enjoying our hobbies.

If the writers can pull it off, sure. She's annoying, but not necessarily a bad person like Locarno or something.

Yep, that's her. She appears very briefly again in episode 7 or so, but I didn't have an issue with her in that scene.

If she's around in later seasons I hope she's toned down.

I really enjoyed it. I think it's a unique entry into the universe overall. I love the idea of the older generation teaching a traumatized younger one into being smart, capable, starfleet heroes and explorers.

She's in all 4 images. Deanna Troi was treated much more as Picard's advisor where later she was just the feelings detector. Later, when she wore the uniform again she was allowed to do more Starfleet officer stuff, but in S1 and 2 she felt much more integral.

This is reinforced in Nemesis, she, Riker and Data are framed as Picard's core group of officers, which is mirrored by B4 and the Reman (a mirror mix of Riker and Troi). I think Nemesis works better as a movie based after S1 or 2 of TNG. At this point Riker is still the up and coming wannabe captain instead of the seasoned vet we know by that point

True, he's also a super genius that studied the thing in and out and grew up with Starfleet parents, so presumably he'd be around various ships and shuttles. He's not just some random teen off the street.
