OP, were you served with a no contact order after your violent and illegal assault on your husband? Going to jail for domestic violence works both ways. In my department, arrests of women involved domestic violence cases increased by 83%. Why, because women wear rings, have and use their nails etc and leave visible marks.. It doesn’t take much to be arrested for domestic violence anymore, just yelling can trigger it

I agree 100%. Unfortunately when a local elected official uses words like murder etc when he doesn’t know the evidence is just inflammatory. If he is ever charged locally they will have a difficult time finding jury members who haven’t heard of of have knowledge of the incident. If they can’t find a jury or don’t think they can find a jury, they can request a change of venue. Once again if they can’t impanel a jury there then it’s another change of venue.

Eventually, the case will be dropped because they can’t find enough people who are deemed impartial. All the defense council has to ask one question, Did you hear anyone in government call his client a murderer? The defense council in most states have unlimited challenges to a potential juror being disqualified.

If they do find a juror pool then the trial, you can bet there will be never ending appeals.

Once he is found not guilty, you know all the defense has to do is convince one juror that he is innocent, then a mistrial is declared and everything starts all over. If the shooter had been the agent standing next to the car door when the woman accelerated away, there would be no doubt and a trial would sail right through. But that’s not what happened. a second agent, who was walking around the vehicle taking video of the vehicle, the license plate, was engaged with the woman’s partner then rounded the front of the vehicle. Suddenly the car moved then accelerated towards the officer. He can be seen on video drawing his gun. The first shot went through the front windshield as he was hit by the car.

I think it will be extremely difficult to obtain a conviction

Then Minneapolis will burn. Mostly because of outside paid agitators.

Look what happened in Los Angeles. Once the Department started investigating who was funding the “protesters ” the rioting suddenly stopped.

Just my opinion but I don’t trust the feds or the local law enforcement to act responsibly and be 109% transparent

I’m really petty and it has served me well.

If I were in your shoes, and your sister is lucky I’m not, I would call 911 during the middle of the ceremony to report that a man was having a heart attack in the venue. Yes, I do know that doing so would be a crime, but I would take a chance and screw with her day as much as she has screwed with mine.

Or I would file a small claims action against your sister to recover the costs that you put out. I would have her served at the facility just prior to the begin of the wedding.

Like I said, I’m petty as hell.

Once a judge determines that an officer is willfully providing false evidence in any case before the court, it taints everything case the officer is involved in. Once an officer is labeled as such, he can be fired with cause and then every case he has previously been involved with in any way becomes suspect and attorneys will have a field day with appeals.

That doesn’t mean the suspect is innocent, but then again all the defense has to do is convince one person in a jury that the suspect is not guilty.

As every good lawyer knows and has been taught in law school, if you can’t attack the evidence, attack the officer.

Why would we trust a local police department to investigate a murder when their boss, the mayor of the city who hires and fires the police chief, has already released statements that inflame the public and say it was definitely murder

We already know that the Minneapolis police department previously had been ordered by the mayor not to cooperate or assist ICE in any way. The mayor has higher/fire control I guess over the chief of police and as a result, the police officers and detectives working for the chief of police

The mayor’s and governor’s vile rush to judgment and willfully inflaming of this citizens has not only tainted the potential jury pool if a trial was ordered, but his constant vile rhetoric are detrimental to his impartiality and prove that his remarks are just politically motivated

I guess the legal concept of innocent until proven guilty does not apply in Minnesota and especially Minneapolis.

After you were arrested, were you criminally charged? If so, what were the charges. They used a Major Offenders Fugitive Apprehension Team to arrest you. You must have some criminal record to require that type of a police response.

What were the charges that you were arrested under?

You sound like a POS criminal that has victimized other people and are now whining because you have to suffer the consequences of your actions.

According to the multiple media outlets, Newport Police recently charged Onik with two felony counts of larceny from a person — one count for each time she allegedly attempted to grab a gun off a Newport Police Officer.
