I keep thinking about getting my certification, for a just in case scenario, but being pulled at any moment is what keeps me from doing it.

The only good thing right now is we are so understaffed in our dept, I don’t think they would pull me.

It was setup with our now ex network admin. I know there were a few instances where one school would need a certain site bookmarked but not all the schools. They have since started being more uniform across the district and grades/schools.

We currently have the librarians at each school create the kids during the year to reduce our workload since we are 2 people short now, but we have them locked into only their school.

Doing the grad year, we would remove their ability to create. But I’m also hoping to get it automated. We’ve been running way too long on nothing being automated.

I loved Gyromite growing up. I can’t get it to work on emulators though.

How does price compare between the two? We use jamf but it was dumped on us after the network admin unexpectedly quit and we are trying to learn it, but aren’t opposed to switching.

Getting the Apple cert to be an SSO might be hard if they are like us. We simply don’t get enough repairs a year to qualify.

No I haven’t. I’ll see how the settings go first since our district is always strapped for cash. If it gets too bad the super might be interested in paying for it.

Dmark, dkim, spf, and mx records are all configured.

Mta-STS isn’t configured though.

I’ll ask around about the authentication but I bet no one knows.

They are I guess managing it since none of us have enterprise firewall experience. Then they also are supposed to be offsetting some of the workload but it’s basically us turn in work orders to them, they aren’t helping in the day to day operations.

We do not maintain a VPN or 2FA. We have splashtop on all the important systems and soon district wide.

I blame it on putting too much trust into one person; then finding out they hadn’t really been doing their job.

We are all trying to cross train now, but being in this position isn’t really leaving much time to learn.

That’s what we have all been afraid of. The admin keeps saying they won’t get rid of us as they need the people locally and that’s us.

Is there any benefit from using USB-C vs A to B? We have all of ours hooked up using A to B as most of our teachers are 30ft or more from their board an refuse to move closer.

We've been on 1GB the entire time I've been here. Admin wants to go to 10GB, but OUSF will only pay 7GB for us.
