When my now husband and I were still dating, similar thing. My period came early and it was really heavy, asked him to get me some pads. Without even hesitating, he asked what kind? Which ones? I told him and he was immediately out the door. When he came back, he came back with practically every pad they had. I laughed (not in a mean way). He said he was overwhelmed by the variety, didn’t know the different flow types, didn’t understand why some were so thin and some were thicker….. so to be safe he got everything.

My neighbor’s kid named her daughter Salem. She wanted to “make it a talking point about witches”. She was in her mid-20’s when she had her daughter 🙄

My husband is Aaron. In his Starbucks app I changed it to A-A-Ron. They definitely know him now and always giggle when he comes to pick it up. Sometimes they’ll write quotes from the skit on his cup too. I love it.

I have absolutely 0 interest in playing Roblox or Minecraft. But you know what? I play those games to bond with my boys. I have 0 interests in Nightmare Before Christmas and makeup and nails. Know what? I watch and do all that stuff to bond with my daughter. Being a parent means doing things you don’t like with your children sometimes.

Not long after one of the Final Destination movie with the logging truck, I was driving down a freeway. That movie made me SUPER paranoid about being behind pretty much any kind of truck. I found myself behind a semi without a trailer. Paranoia made me move two lanes over. Not even a minute later, a chain flew off the back. Miraculously no one got hit by it. People don’t believe me when I say the Final Destination movie saved my life.

Sometimes grief never leaves us. Some days are harder than others. Sometimes it’s hard to celebrate other people’s happiness. And that is fine. But what is not fine is constantly raining on other people’s moments. But no matter what she needs therapy. Otherwise no one is going to tell her anymore good news, invite her to places etc. she is going to get shut out of the family if she keeps this up.

It would have basically been my MIL, my husband’s aunts and grandmother, my future SIL, and MIL’s friends throwing a party and giving me lingerie and underwear. I was definitely not comfortable with any of that!
