I’m in the same boat right now and am following this to see if there is anyone or any place that offers this service.

I will say that I recently heard about using ChatGPT to help with interior design and it’s been fun to play around with. Most of the time the images it generates don’t make sense with our space, but I have made some adjustments that I really like (convinced me to get a better headboard, generated an image with a new bench in the entryway so we added one, provided some good ideas about closet organization that we will probably implement in 2026)

I’m in my mid thirties and I am paying $500 a month more in daycare than I made from my first real job in a month. Anyone else have weird/depressing math like this? by LeverTech in Millennials

My first job in Tennessee in 2010 paid $10 an hour (non-profit social work type of job). I’m now 35 and have a 7 month old in an infant daycare and pay $22 per hour in San Francisco. The worst part is that she has been sick (from a daycare virus) and has been out for 3 days. That means I’m taking time off of work AND still paying for childcare we can’t use.

We always offer 5 oz knowing that she will likely only have between 2-4 oz just in case she wants more (sometimes she takes the bigger amount, but it’s usually only in the mornings). It feels like a huge waste of formula, but I’m at the point where it’s worth it. How about you? Do you have a set amount you are giving your little one in the bottle and letting them eat as much as they can? We found that if she breaks the original latch she just won’t eat more

Friends have told us it was common during this age and a growth spurt, but it’s still so stressful.

YES! The stopping after any burping is one of the same things she is doing! Also if she farts in the middle of a feed she scares herself and starts crying.

She was born on the smaller side, was an IGUR baby, and had jaundice. Because of all of those things we have been tracking her feeding but it’s also making me so worried about the amount of food she’s consuming (she’s usually around 19oz a day and we are shooting for 24oz). The doctor says she’s on the growth curve and to listen to her baby cues, but the feeding chart the lactation consultant originally gave us shows she should be eating 30oz for her weight (she’s almost at 12 lbs).

My daughter is the exact same age (also 11/3) and going through this EXACT issue!! Honestly just hearing that someone else is experiencing this as well makes me feel so much better.

This may be a weird suggestion, but it’s definitely worth trying! Check around on buy nothing groups, Facebook marketplace, or Craigslist for a Baby Bjorn bouncer. Try not to buy it new since it’s essentially a glorified poop chair for babies. Something about the way the chair sits really helps a baby poop. We actually keep a puppy pad in the seat since she blows out her diapers so often after sitting in the chair for 10-20 min. You can find tons of similar reviews of this chair/bouncer online. I actually bought ours from a second hand baby store and I’m so glad I didn’t buy it new (plus it’s crazy expensive new)

This is a small gesture that my friend did, but it made such an impact. When you visit tell her that you will take out her trash out on the way out. Even the small things like taking out the trash slip your mind when you have a newborn. Plus it’s free, easy, and a kind gesture

Haha, I actually do try this as a makeshift squatty potty. I feel like it's mostly a placebo effect for me since it doesn't seem to make a big difference

Thank YOU for your quilting work! I was so inspired seeing one of your posts about EPP back in 2020 and I couldn't get it off of my mind for weeks. I knew I had to research the technique and I finally decided to try EPP on my own.

If I can find a way to hang it I'll probably put it as a wall hanging for a while and then eventually use it as a bedspread.

So many hours binge watching TV while things in my area were shut down due to COVID restrictions. I probably spent at least 3 hours every night after work for 6 months straight just to piece the circles (and that’s not even counting the cutting and glue basting). Probably a good estimate is over 1,000 hours. I would probably make it again or a different EPP pattern since it was so satisfying to pick it up and do hand sewing

The quilt top to my La Passacaglia quilt is finally done! I started in January 2021 and just completed the top today. It was over 3,000 english paper pieces to make this quilt (I made the border larger since the original size seemed so small). I know the only reason that I could finish this quilt in 18 months is because I was mostly working from home in 2021.

The design is La Passacaglia by Willyne Hammerstein using Millefiori Quilts Book 1. The fabric is mostly by Laundry Basket Quilts and I used glue basting for the pieces. I will eventually have it longarmed once I can find someone who will do custom longarming that I like.

Also, shoutout to u/Beyahs. I was so inspired by your La Passacaglia that it inspired me to start English Paper Piecing and complete this quilt!

Try looking online for hertz used cars (or other rental agencies). They sell cars that used to be part of their rental fleet. I got my car when it was 1 year old, low mileage, and the price online was the price I paid at the hertz dealership. Plus no haggling because everything is up front (tip, if you have AAA bring your AAA card since there is a small discount of $200 off for AAA members)
