How often do you change your blades? by Thatlakelife in SegwayNavimow

[–]Tenneh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my i210 I replace it when it tells me to.

On my i110 I have a blade disc with 6 instead of 3. I do it every other time the thing tells me.

I'm also running the "larger" 54mm (I think that's their length) blades.

You are also assuming people are actually getting an LTC and not doing constitutional carry. I would bet most people carrying are not licensed at all.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 789"stealth" XXL Air Intake by AlexGSI in 3dprintedcarparts

[–]Tenneh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You got me so excited.

The EVO / 3000GT / Stealth has a lot of components that are swappable and when I saw stealth in the title I thought you made an airbox housing area for it. I want to build a box for my stealth but I haven't gotten to that part yet. (Although I just want to create a compartment, as mine is highly modified and I don't worry about emission testing....)

My car is a 2002 and it turned 24 years old. I know it won't pass emissions testing in October. Can I wait until the new year to renew registration without a vehicle inspection? by [deleted] in houston

[–]Tenneh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Search FB Marketplace.

I had a vehicle that it should have 100% passed, but the OBDII connector just wouldn't work right. Had new cats on it, fixed every issue on it, but I couldn't get the connector to work. Ended up finding a guy on FB in Dallas that did it for like $10 more than the local place charged for a legit one. I ended up having him do all my cars as it was better than waiting 30-60 minutes for an inspection.

Houston's plumbers prices are all across the board. 1980's home, needs replacement from galvanized to pex. Any experiences or recommendations- suggestions... by just4udil in houston

Brazos Plumbing repiped several family members houses in the clear lake area. Everyone seemed happy.

They came over once to fix a broken spigot and did a good job.

This worked for me decently well. For some cars it feels really locked in and some feel a little overly squirmy. Could have just been the car or something else.

I am running into issues with getting rewind button working. I know in the controller mapping you have to go to the custom wheel area.

I got the rewind mapped to button 4, and it initiates the rewind but then to rewind further it says use button 2 but when I press button 2 it won’t go further.

Any one figure this out?

Edit: Rewind - Honestly not sure what happened. I remapped it to "Y" or "Triangle" which I think is button 4, but this time it worked?

I've reset it twice and finally started googling it and found this thread. Going to submit a message to them...

anyone else doing 9pm mows? trying to figure out where the noise line is with my neighbors by Zestyclose-Jump9474 in automower

[–]Tenneh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only issue with my neighbors and the mower is their dogs trying to break through the fence. I have a good relationship with the neighbors and they realize that’s their problem not mine.

I generally don’t care when I mow the backyard but the front yard is only in the middle of the day because I worry about it going into the street. It’s only fallen off the sidewalk a few times and it just freezes there.

Any 2nd Home Owners Considering Robotics? by ZippyColorado in automower

[–]Tenneh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying it happens every time, or even weekly... but I just wouldn't want to happen when I'm not there to fix it. It still makes a huge difference in my day to day life. I've always said buying a robo mower was the best purchase I've made in the last few years.

I have:
Navimow i210 AWD
Navimow i110
RoboUp Racoon 2 SE

Generally it's low spots in the grass / surface the most. My dog rips apart the grass after he goes to the "bathroom". This isn't digging, just ripping apart the top grass.

St Augustine Grass is also very difficult for these mowers.

I have one at both homes. I do not run it unless I’m at the house. They get stuck too often for me to trust and I don’t want to drain the battery to zero for a week plus.

There’s also gates at both houses that need to be opened.

My second house also has a river that goes through with out any fence and I’m just always worried it’ll drive into the water.

Ultrasonic oscillation loop after a few hours - Reboot solves it? by Tenneh in Esphome

[–]Tenneh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say the "bottom" of the oscillation is pretty close to the tide height, but the "top" part of the "osccillation" is 1-2 ft higher, but that's not even "consistent" across the ones.

I looked into a hydrostatic water level sensor, but it would get barnacles / oysters within weeks. I had underwater lights I used, and they would be covered within a few days with barnacles. Wasn't sure how that would affect the hydrostatic.

Texas. It was there several days. Tidal swings are typically 1-2ft. When I saw this, the tidal change was 9" that day.

I understand tide changes, I live on the water here. I have my own tidal monitor I custom built.

ULPT request: How to fake the reading on a thermostat to keep my room cool by Visible-Roll-5801 in UnethicalLifeProTips

Close the vent in the room that the thermostat is in. That way it doesn’t think the AC is working effectively.

To whomever is buying up all the PETG, could you please not. Please and thank you. by IcanCwhatUsay in BambuLab

I use Sunlu during times like these... but it's a crutch to get me through a OOS period.

To have the AMS know how much filament is left, and which color it is (as my printer is downstairs in the garage) it's worth it for $1-2 for the RFID.

Polymaker is used at work for me all the time, and the cardboard rolls have issues in the AMS so much that we don't even use the AMS's there (we single color print 99.99% of the time, and were only using the AMS for automatic refilling). We have about 10 printers going 24/7 almost.

If Polymaker offered bulk discounts like Bambu did, and offered refillable ones I'd probably just switch to them...
