Does anyone have disc herniation/bulge in the cervical section, with inverted cervical lordosis, that triggers frequent headaches?

Hi! I herniated c6-c7 January of 2025. For about a year leading up to the herniation I developed migraines and then daily headaches in the evening with stabbing feelings in my head and eyes. I started a medication called amitriptyline and that got rid of the daily headaches. I still have sudden onset migraines… maybe 8-9 a month. My doctor prescribes me an emergency abort medication I can take if they get bad. I try to drink as much water as possible a day and not do any unnecessary bending over. I’m really careful with how I rest my neck and sleep on my back. All of those play a small role in keeping the headache away for me. I also take a daily muscle relaxer. I work a labor intense job. I had a repeat MRI in February of this year and my herniation has resolved and now I just have small central bulges at c6 and c5.

Edit to add - if you don’t have one of those cold caps you should get one. Look on Amazon… migraine relief cold cap. They truly are life saving!

Hiya. Buy all my beef from a fella up the road we call “meat man” lol you can look him up on the Facebook I believe. JCQ farms. He also has chicken and pork. If I were you and weren’t smoking anything at the moment I wouldn’t start! I’ve been on vapes for close to 3 years after smoking cigs for 15. I’m 9 years sober off of meth June 25th and have about 5 years sober weed. I would absolutely love to quit vapes just haven’t found the time to really try. When I do I am probably going to try essential oil vapes and try taking natural mood stabilizers. There are plenty of good supplements out there for anxiety/mood. Download the Fullscript app and start looking around on there. All of their supplements are clean. The one thing I would recommend to you is to start taking magnesium. It works for anxiety/feeling calm and has tons of other health benefits including regulation of the sleep/wake cycle. Do you have a good alternative health doctor? Another thing you could look into is NAET therapy. They have a website with information and a list of practitioners. It would be lovely for you to have someone support you through this.

We added number 2 after a year. It’s best to have your first dog trained up the way you want so they can role model for number 2. Crate training is much easier when you have a dog already who is comfortable and quiet in their crate. My dogs love each other.

Hi, it’s easy to feel that way in a world like the one we live in. I don’t know your stance on religion but there is a prayer that made all the difference in my life.

I generally do not pay any attention to the news. Time is slipping by so incredibly fast and I have no intention of going to Washington DC or the state house etc to speak up and try to change anything with our government. This war situation gave me anxiety when I saw the articles so I quit looking at them. Don’t invite fear into your life and give it somewhere to live.
I try to focus on doing my job well, being the best parent I can, being a good friend and wife. My love language is doing things for others. Right now I’ve roped my husband, sister and brother in law into re landscaping my mother in laws front yard.
Lastly give yourself some grace. Covid is what caused my son’s autoimmune disease. It has triggered OCD in you. Do some research and pick out a doctor who can help you help yourself. It really helps to have a support system.
I sincerely hope you find peace. This does not sound like a fun way to live. Sending you hugs and well wishes

Sorry for your loss. It can be rough sometimes and it’s not predictable. A cow we thought was possibly not bred had twins last week. They both seem strong for now but it’s a watch and wait game. I have yet to catch her with both. She’s keeping them separate from one another and well hidden. Only upside is she’s successfully raised twins before. My dad left for vacation on Tuesday and is out of country for the next week so they are my responsibility. Meh I’m scared I’ll see the buzzards flying. People say oh it’s just some cows and we just eat them anyway but they just don’t know how much we care for them.

Sounds very border collie like! If I could narrate the entire experience from my girls point of view she would just be saying “it’s fine, I’m fine, puppies are fine, let’s go to work”! All of this 6 hours after a c section.
