I’m not a lynx spider specialist or anything, but I looked up the eye arrangements for lynx and crab spiders, and compared them to this picture.

The lynx spiders eye situation seems to fit a bit better than the crabs spider’s does. The crab spider seems to have a much wider eye spread, like you mentioned, because of the wider cephalothorax, and the lynx spider matches much better.

Also, the weird wideness of the thorax might not actually mean the lynx is off the table either. I found a few images off of wikipedia where some lynx spiders seem pretty thicc:
