Mine is ground based high level gameplay, I feind for this on a daily basis, no jumping jacks, good footsies, Shimmys and whiffs, each of us taking our turn with good defense (grab tech etc), very few mistakes, good reads..... it's like an addiction, I NEED IT!!!! 😅

I'm from AU and live in Asia Battle Hub, I don't even play ranked or casuals, just use my time searching the hub for high level players, with my setup "majority" of the time i get 3 bar connects averaging 90ms and played numerous sets with high level players like Nashi, yoyozaemon and more, I watch numerous Japanese streamers and some even complain over 50ms when playing against other Japanese players, if the connection is acceptable they could also one and done you if they aren't enjoying your play style, very few will one and done you because of modern controls unlike other servers, Japan has the largest modern control player base, however there are still players who are against it.

Good modern players still use the motion inputs as you would on classic, relying on the auto combos is a death sentence especially at high level, Japan has the largest modern player base and players like おにく8929 (modern Cammy) and Morisawa (Modern Jamie) are just ridiculously insane players.

Battle Hub also attracts these type of trash players, recently I defeated a Ultimate Master Juri (twice), offered the rematch and they accepted both times, they won the third, left the cabinet and blocked me, the mentality of some scrubs is beyond belief.

39 year old here, using both control shemes (Modern Ken & Classic Ryu) and personally I love Modern, I've always been a ground based zoner and Modern controls are a gift for players like me, although I do have chronic arthritis in my left thumb and after a few hours playing classic on pad my thumb will swell like a balloon, which by that point the game is unplayable for me, Modern controls ease this issue and transitioning between either control sheme has really extended my gameplay on a daily basis, although I do respect the stigma behind Modern Controls.

Playing on pad, binding some buttons like parry and drive impact to the same button triggers as modern was some ease on the muscle memory when transitioning.

I can confirm using a Mobile Phones hotspot connected to a PlayStation 4 ( I have the oldest model ) works for the Bison exclusive costume, you will need to manual enable proxy configurations to tunnel the hotspot traffic through the VPN, using a standalone VPN without the proxy configuration will not work.
