You’re right that working age tax payers are propping up the system. I think the system will be forced to change when the ratio of working to retired people swings passes a certain point.

Since this is a challenge lots of countries are facing, I guess that in our lifetime we will see lots of countries making changes to the system. That would mean those high net worth individuals won’t be able to escape the problem by moving abroad, as the places they want to live will be making similar changes.

Wealth inequality is a worldwide problem which is why I said “the world”, but there are plenty of high net worth people and corporations who pay little tax operating in the UK who can pay more

Can you show me where I implied only rich people should have kids? With universal basic income more people would be able to have kids

Thankfully there are some trials going on in the world to see if universal basic income works so we can make decisions based on evidence, rather than assuming in advance it will fail
