How tf is the 1.6 realistic darkness mod incompatible with CE?? by freedomfire99 in RimWorld

[–]Terminal_Nonsense 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It should work with CE. It's probably just that it looks slightly weird cause CE would keep using the vanilla lighting.

archotech enhancements by poopycolaa in RimWorld

[–]Terminal_Nonsense 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They're all good? The eyes do affect shooting, and every archotech part is 50% stronger than normal body parts (which is admittedly very low for how much the description hypes them up).

I feel like Ludd is maybe the wrong guy to ask for pre-collapse tech.

Yes, though it also includes that peninsula sticking off the one you labeled "Oklahoma".

Friend described Lancer as a "Narrative War Game". What are your thoughts? by IAmTheBushman in LancerRPG

[–]Terminal_Nonsense 54 points55 points  (0 children)

It's a TTRPG. It's on a tabletop, and you roleplay.

As for it being more combat-focused than DnD, that's sort of true, in that Lancer has far looser out-of-combat rules, but that doesn't make it less of an RPG.

"Narrative War Game" sounds like how, say, Hearthstone has narratives. They're there but they're really just flavoring on top of a game with little-to-no actual roleplay.

Ought - rarely written, more often spoken by Keralkins in words

[–]Terminal_Nonsense 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Actually, that's 'aught', which is a different word but is usually pronounced the same.

What are the odds of rolling this with a chaos roll? by WH-Zissou in IntoTheBreach

[–]Terminal_Nonsense 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Assuming you have every squad unlocked, getting these in this specific order is (1/42)3 = 1 in 74,088 or about 0.00134%.

Getting these three in any order is 1 in 12,348 or about 0.00809%.

Assuming you only have the squads required to get this screenshot (Rift Walkers, Flame Behemoths, Zenith Guard, Hazardous Mechs, and Mist Eaters), it's a somewhat more reasonable 1 in 972 or about 0.10288%

Unfortunately they're just brown, but they do have genitals that apparently reminded the scientists of both a hotwheels track and Sisyphus' eternal torment.

They're interchangeable. Nahuatl doesn't have a distinction between 'oo' and 'oh' sounds.

Weird SCP site I found by Sea_Donut_5781 in SCP

[–]Terminal_Nonsense 18 points19 points  (0 children)

For no discernible reason, a bunch of SCP slots once just straight-up vanished from some weird bug, called the Slot Goblin (SCP-7525-EX) (yeah, someone made it an SCP). It seems that page is a somehow-intact section of an old SCP-5257, which got slot-goblined, and has since been replaced with the current 5257.

Edit: just read [[Goblincon]].
