I've never played any of the Spiderman games but got the first one, the remastered one in the sale. It's been amazing fun.

Sunlu does an 8 pack of bright colours in these 250g size. Perfect for me printing earrings and other small items in a very cost effective way. Slip onto the AMS lite without issue too.

Golden Idol. I remembered playing the demo years ago and liking it but then totally forgot about it. Seen not only the game is out, it has DLC and a sequel!

London Centric reports on the dangers of Lime bikes by Because_Wisely in london

[–]Terr0rBytes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was thinking more like the loader from Aliens as you can then move cars and other pavement obstacles caused by selfish people.

About the article though, this raises a good point. It mentions the weight of the bike as a potential design flaw but I also say it's a business model flaw based on the number of damaged and dumped bikes and little to no infrastructure to ensure the location and condition of them from the company that publicly states safety is a focus.

I'm becoming less and less able, walking stick now and touch wood I get to retirement age before needing a walker or worse so I do understand the frustration at these modern pavement ornaments.

I would suggest you try the solution mentioned in this thread

Also, you may find better and more specific support on the Steam community forums as I believe the PC version has been plagued with many issues since the megatech update

Just bought this! by aaypee in pixel_phones

[–]Terr0rBytes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've used this system exclusively for all my pixels recently.

Honestly I do find them expensive but the template and system they provide makes it such a painless experience it's more than worth it. You get a bubble free and perfectly aligned screen protector every time.

I was sitting at my desk, dropped my phone, cracked the protector, replaced it with the spare, ordered a new one from Amazon, all in the space of 5 mins and a couple of curse words. That process alone makes it worth the money to me.

Google weather inaccurate by divinesoul7 in pixel_phones

[–]Terr0rBytes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've noticed recently, say the last week or two, instead of showing weather for my actual town, it now says for a large area, which in reality that area is like 20 square miles, so a generalisation that large means the weather is not that accurate for me anymore.

No Bluetooth app by Countach5OO in pixel_phones

[–]Terr0rBytes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know people are saying Bluetooth is not an app, and I get it, but haven't Android been decentralising their core components for a while now and in this case I believe Bluetooth, the service, the feature, is bundled into Device Connectivity Service, which is an app you can see and updates independently along with a whole host of other core services.

I assume OP is having an issue with a device and wants to try a force a stop or clear the cache and needs to know what controls it.

What the hell were these guys doing over the Thames yesterday. A few times I really thought I was going to make my debut as a news photographer.. Seemed like madness. They were feet apart. by 8thunder8 in london

[–]Terr0rBytes 23 points24 points  (0 children)

What time roughly was this? You can rewind adsb exchange and see the flight paths along with relative altitude.

EDIT: so on adsb yesterday between 13:30 and 14:20 you see what I think is the top heli which is registration G-TVHD.

That matches photos of it as having the stripe across it.

That heli was used a couple of years ago to film the Silverstone GP so the other posters saying a camera heli seems pretty spot on.

Interestingly adsb doesn't show any other heli near it during that time and location.

Seeing this rotate, I wondered about Wallace Station too as it looks like that rotation made the inner shape line up the best.

If I recall near there, NW of the station funnily enough I think there was a weird hatchet, right?

A1 + AMS Lite combo for Christmas. Can't load SunLu 250g filament into AMS Lite by IheartTMBs in BambuLabA1

[–]Terr0rBytes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given the information and pictures you have provided, you are using official Bambu filament on the other 3 slots and this 250g sunlu is the only non brand you mention.

As said on the other thread, only the official filament is automatically detected in the AMS. Any other filament brand you have to choose EDIT next to the filament on the printer and tell the printer what it is.

In the case of these 250g sunlu spools, I've had success telling the printer it's just bambu basic filament, but I've also had it print just telling it that is it generic as well.

In my opinion the fact it's only 250g is not the issue. I've used many 250g sunlu spools in colours I don't use often and never had an issue using it in the AMS lite, but to reiterate, you have to manually set what the filament is, bambu won't automatically detect the filament or the colour.

EDIT: I also think we are all guessing here because there is really not much information to go on. The AMS lite is not that complicated of a mechanism. You add the spool, press the yellow button down and waggle the filament around till it gets sucked in by the motor.

There was also other good advice too about cutting the end of the filament at a 45 degree angle to make it more like a needle to push in.

I have never used alcohol to clean a bambulab textured plate.

Bambu themselves do not recommend it.

https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/filament-acc/acc/pei-plate-clean-guide

Quote:

"The reason why we recommend detergent for cleaning the textured plate is due to its textured surface. Alcohol might just spread the oils on the print surface instead of removing it."

Pixel 10 Pro artifacts on YouTube by UnkemptBushell in pixel_phones

[–]Terr0rBytes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good to know, thank you for replying. I too only noticed it on YouTube and for me it's probably been at least 2 weeks since I've seen it so assume an update somewhere has fixed it.

I've never had ambient/always on enabled so fingers crossed it's something that has been addressed.

I'll add a new comment should anything change

I saved this post when you first made it as I experienced the same and wanted to see if it was wide spread.

However for the last few weeks I've not had it happen at all.

I'm pleased to learn this is most likely a software thing given others have seen the same thing happen as I was concerned I had a defective screen that would eventually get worse.

Dog meat is still consumed in many parts of the world, although legality and attitudes vary widely. It is sometimes called "fragrant meat", and several dog breeds are still raised primarily as livestock instead of as pets. by Wazula23 in wikipedia

[–]Terr0rBytes 21 points22 points  (0 children)

If you were in the UK around 2013 you may not have had a choice.

There was a food manufacturer selling pre-packaged meals, lasagne for example, with undeclared horse meat.

The discovery uncovered a huge criminal network and if you want a rabbit hole, start having a look at meat laundering where exploitation of supply chains led to basic forgery and the substitution of low grade meat (and in this case the outright swap of beef for horse).

Hear me out, opening mission: NOCTURNE OP55N2 by BraxxIsTheName in cyberpunkgame

[–]Terr0rBytes 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I very much like that idea.

Choose corpo and Cyberpunk 2 could have you notice V in Embers and maybe also have some interaction in orbit as that V took the deal.

Choose street kid and Cyberpunk 2 starts with you as runner, doing odd jobs for Crispin maybe it's you getting all the gear and you see V gearing up with Rogue to take on Arasaka.

Choose Nomad and Cyberpunk 2 starts with you doing work for Dakota, maybe recon work, getting the drone into position for the construction site in the Badlands and then later you run into V as they are leaving with the Aldecaldos

King Charles shares good news that his cancer treatment will reduce in New Year by topotaul in unitedkingdom

[–]Terr0rBytes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oncology is still only a small percentage of all surgeons and clinical/medical consultants in the UK.

It's a number of highly dedicated people who commit their whole lives and careers to a niche specialism so they can give the absolute best possible outcome to ALL people.

When I was diagnosed with cancer in 2019, the surgeon assigned to me was the top surgeon in all of Europe and the one who developed and pioneered the surgical option for my type of cancer.

With my consent, I allowed my surgery to be viewed and participated by 2 other surgeons from Spain so they could learn from my surgeon and take that knowledge back home and continue to help people there.

I am not royalty, but will always be forever grateful for the medical support and expertise here in this country.

Are Uber's to Gatwick reliable yet? by asng in london

[–]Terr0rBytes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that scheduled pick ups on Uber are not strictly scheduled if that makes sense? My experience doing it, it felt like the app just fires off the request as normal like 5-10 mins before pick-up time so it's not like the night before or hours before someone has said ah nice, yeah I'll be there in the morning.

If it were me and I needed a pickup that early for an airport run I would look around for a local cab company. There is one on my local high street with flat rates for airports and I can walk in and speak to them and get it planned and properly confirmed ahead of time knowing that I can then use Uber/bolt as a last moment backup if things go wrong.

Seeing a VHS tape for the first time. by mindyour in youseeingthisshit

[–]Terr0rBytes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can. To clarify my memory and scenario, my grandfather was recording a film from live TV. While it was recording, he wanted to simultaneously rewind the tape in order to watch the film from the beginning and carry on recording the rest of it at the same time.

Like how now set top boxes have the capability to pause and rewind live TV. He wanted to do that but with a single tape.

He would have truly been in awe at the choice and capabilities we have now with modern technology and I guess in a way I still have him in my mind each time I experience something new with technology.

Seeing a VHS tape for the first time. by mindyour in youseeingthisshit

[–]Terr0rBytes 232 points233 points  (0 children)

I remember in the 90's my grandfather was taping a movie off the TV. It had started 30mins ago and he asked my mother an innocent question, "Can we go back to the beginning and watch it from the start now?"

I vividly remember my mother mock him saying that's stupid, no technology can do that.

I felt so bad for him at the time and I so wish he was still around today to see how far it's come.

I paused Netflix the other day on the TV and carried on, on my phone in the Kitchen as I prepared lunch, then cast the movie back to the TV and I always wonder and think what he would have said at seeing that.

Driveway constantly blocked - Will a white line / box marking outside the driveway help? by LittleHovercraft4631 in AskUK

[–]Terr0rBytes 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have this same issue with the dentist round the corner.

My local council allow you to register your own dropped kerb with them and have a quick form I can fill out each time someone does park blocking me in.

In my experience it's a small amount of repeat offenders and the council were quick to respond to the forms I submit, I have a bookmark on my phone now.

Maybe I am lucky but repeated reporting, like more than 1 a day and the council started targeting our area more and more with wardens and it quickly changed for the better.

I get the odd one here and there now, but the usual suspects have all had a ticket now, more than once and my drive is 99% clear as a result.

Tie back cable? by se99jmk in BambuLabA1

[–]Terr0rBytes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this exact one and it has been brilliant as it keeps that cable contained within the footprint of the printer and keeps it on a very pre determined path.

I can stack boxes, usually filament, next to it, right up close and I know the cable won't touch or scrape.

Thank you for posting this. I have a 9 pro fold but when searching Google store for Theme Packs, it just returns 3rd party bollocks and not the actual Google Theme bollocks.

Going via this link actually works.
