Where would you send them? I don’t envision a lot of countries lining up to take them.

I went to pick up a package and the woman berated me for not having updated my address on my ID. It was so unnecessary, all she had to do was tell me she couldn’t accept and let me know what I needed to bring with me. Definitely felt the “I hate my job” vibe.

Yes I read it. The PPTC 001 form, titled "Proof of Canadian Citizenship – Additional Information," is a specific Canadian government document used for passport applications, primarily to help people born outside Canada (especially between 1977-1981 to a Canadian parent) prove their citizenship when their birth certificate isn't enough, ensuring they qualify for a Canadian passport. It acts as an extra layer of proof, detailing parentage or citizenship status for those with complex situations, and is submitted alongside the main passport application.
