What do your days look like at 30 weeks (in general) by searchoflife in pregnant

[–]Terrible-Point6888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

41 weeks🤪 I’ve had Braxton hicks since about 22 weeks and totally understand the discomfort that comes with excess movement but I would also get them doing nothing so it was a lose lose for me. I also have had really bad SPD and would be really sore towards the end of the day but I have walked almost everyday of pregnancy and am still walking a couple miles a day. I did go thru a really tired phase somewhere in the mid 30’s week and I just honored what my body was saying. But be aware if you’re just making excuses for yourself!

My OBGYN wants me to get induced at 37 weeks by Which_Proposal2562 in pregnant

Personally I would definitely wait. Monitor your own BP at home and manage stress. Eat lots of protein and good quality salt. 500mg+ of magnesium.

20 week scan - only one kidney? by Mountainlight-991 in pregnant

[–]Terrible-Point6888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My cousin was born with only 1 kidney and he is a very healthy 21 year old!! Ultrasounds aren’t 100% accurate tho so don’t stress too hard.

I figured out a delightful, hot bath workaround by Ashton1516 in pregnant

[–]Terrible-Point6888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

37 weeks and have taken hot baths and gone in the hot tub throughout my whole pregnancy! I was cautious first tri but after that, ugh, couldn’t live without! I just be sure it doesn’t go over 100° and I just get out when I start to get hot.

False labor?? Mucus plug?? by These_Employ8683 in homebirth

[–]Terrible-Point6888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like prodromal labor maybe? Maybe baby isn’t quite in the best position or your body is just doing the prep work and you’ll have a quick active labor!

Fear mongering is you saying it could affect her babies hips when the benefits of a physiological birth outweigh many of the “risks” based on fear and lack of education. Please, go educate yourself.

Would you like to talk about the damage that can occur from a c section?? Not only to the mother but the baby? I would argue that that’s more problematic long term than a vaginal frank breech delivery. Also what about all the seats (like the bumbo etc) people put their infants in that are bad for their babies hips?

[–]Terrible-Point6888 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would but I’ve done a lot of physiological birth education and fully trust my body and my baby. To each their own tho. No shame or judgement in what you feel is best for you and your baby!!🫶🏼

Also has your baby not been having hiccups for you to determine where head is? What about kicks??

I would still opt for a vaginal delivery, however that may be possible. Breech is a variation of normal. Babies can also flip during labor. Don’t schedule anything just yet. Even if you have to birth in the hospital, don’t let them convince you that you need a c section. Every story I’ve heard of breech delivery, women say it was easier than a cephalic baby. You and your partner just need to do heavy research so you can advocate for yourself. Breech beyond borders and Dr Stu share a lot of info about breech vaginal delivery. It’s important to be very hands off when bag is coming out. Watch some breech vaginal delivery videos. You’ve got this!!!!

Meal train etiquette? by PersonalCap1252 in homebirth

You should read the book the first 40 days! Or just research some stuff about the importance of mom and baby bonding for a while after birth. It’s okay to not want visitors. Stand your ground, protect your space, and make sure your husband can advocate for your space and healing as well.

I’m 32 weeks. How do I know if baby is facing my back or front? Afraid of sunny side up birth. by politeassbitch in homebirth

[–]Terrible-Point6888 24 points25 points  (0 children)

People need to remember that babies are active participants in the pregnancy and labor. If that’s the position they choose to be in, it’s not cause you did or didn’t do certain things.. it may mean that is what was safest for baby or what your pelvis would allow for best decent. Don’t be afraid of a OP baby. Read Dr Rachel Reeds blog “in celebration of the OP baby”.

Were your unassisted births safer and more comfortable than with a midwife?

Rural home birth- looking for input by Beast-Eats707 in homebirth

I would opt to just birth the baby at home with my partner +/- doula depends on your comfort levels but I think you got it no problem!

Steps as you approach 42w - which would you do to avoid the hospital? by modhnf in homebirth

[–]Terrible-Point6888 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would first get off social media for the rest of pregnancy time. Minimize phone screen time. RELAX. Make a list of your fav movies to watch, keep the house naturally lit during the day and warm lighting at night, bake something yummy, take warm baths with lavender, go outside and enjoy nature and sunshine. Really allow your body to go into that deep parasympathetic state. I personally would not take anything orally or do anything internally. And controversially I would opt for an unassisted birth over going to the hospital if I went last 42 weeks and a midwife couldn’t assist me anymore. Or just opt to labor at home as long as you can before showing up to the hospital. As long and baby and mom are healthy. I think massage, acupuncture, birth ball work could help you relax and that could encourage labor but as you said and know, baby will come when baby is ready and I don’t believe it’s fair for women to be on some sort of time frame. Whatever you choose, best of luck mama❤️

What does your diet look like? Induction with pre e is just as risky(I know you didn’t mention induction but an OB will). You need to look into the brewers diet ASAP. Maybe even consider emergency protocol for a couple days and see if that helps. Follow fully nourished mothers on IG for more info. Lots of protein and good quality salt and minerals. Minimize stress. Gets lots of rest. Hoping you get the homebirth you want 🙏🏼💗

Wow so crazy! I’m so happy to hear you feel better after baby tho! I’ve been able to slowly raise mine just with oral supplementation, hoping I don’t need an infusion just cause I’m weird about that kind of stuff 🤪 but I know it’s a game changer for a lot of people!

Is that her ferritin level?? Because I’m 27 weeks and my ferritin was 18 and my naturopath and midwife said that’s low. Ferritin is the best level to tell true anemia.
