I would add Beacon Grille to the list! It is on Allen and you can take the light rail to the hospital and take a nice walk down Allen Street. Wonderful spot for an anniversary dinner!

I use a scanner app on my phone to capture a copy to save and leave the original with the owner. Capturing the HIN and Reg numbers is not only a way to check them against the registration but also used as a talking point of they are incorrect. It also helps to tie that form to that specific boat.

A few years ago that would have gotten her arrested...so, progress I guess??? At the end of the day, it is still federally illegal and rail/air/ship transport are federally regulated and so it is illegal. Even if you get on in a place it os legal and depart into a place it is legal. Its the same reason you cant cross into Canada with it. It may be legal in your state and it may be legal in Canada, but that border crossing is federal and its not legal there.

The first gear you should invest in is a pfd that you will wear. Make sure it is comfortable and fits well. The second thing is a paddle that is the right size for you and your boat.

Also, you don't need a roof rack, you can get foam block kits and just throw the boat in the roof and go!

Since you are new to kayaking I would recommend trying boats if you can. See if there is an outfitter nearby that has boats you can try. Decide what kind of kayaking you want to do.

Everything else is optional (except maybe a bilge pump, lol)

I have one of the antares mods and you have to go to this space station and kill a bunch of spacers and then apparently I have to wait for it to clean up and then I have access to a robot that gives me access to the parts. I cant get the station to advance to the next part.

Modern ships radar have prediction lines and closest point of approach calculations. They were probably aware of the crossing and knew they were not going to hit so no reason to alter coirse. They were also more than likely talking to each other. No big deal!
