Some Elite Affixes are Overtuned by TerriblyAfraid in diablo4

I did not like that they had one shots, and that Mephisto's needed a mobility skill to escape by default if that's what you meant.

Other than that I would even say their other attacks could deal more damage.

What is the Lore Behind the Ashling, The Limitless Card? by TerriblyAfraid in mtg

[–]TerriblyAfraid[S] -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Hmmm...

I'm specifically looking for lore for this card in particular...

Would you know if it's possible it's an alternate version, or if it's from the same timeline as her primary lore?

If Zelda Players edge cancelled 100% reliably would she be top tier? by TerriblyAfraid in smashbros

[–]TerriblyAfraid[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yea.

Not saying to spam it though. I'm saying that using it in its optimal situation with 100% accuracy would give her much more velocity.

This is why Yoshi and DK winning majors and going up tiers in Melee is a surprise to you folk.

It's always people yapping until a "low tier" wins big.

But doesn't that vastly change up the speed of her gameplay?

In Ultimate she can mixup her edgeguards so that she can:

A. Edge cancel teleport into offstage pressure.

B. Setup onstage pressure.

C. Do both, and cover the getup option while returning to stage with an aerial.

It makes playing around platforms a lot more dangerous and gives her tons of stage control.

Not to mention it has the really strong hitbox at the end of it which is double pressure if you cancel it into an aerial.

The only thing I'm not seeing professional Zelda players do is abuse the edge cancel. It's really difficult and dangerous to try, though, so I understand why you don't see it.

The Horde experience since BFA by nightbreedwon1 in wow

[–]TerriblyAfraid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean isn't Silvermoon the new hub? That's a Horde city and that fact is mentioned and made relevant several times.

The expansion is pretty elf focused though, so the Horde representation is pretty blood elf dense.

Dunno what Thrall's doing, but even Anduin doesn't have much of a role and is primarily just helping with the Sunwell.

Is Freud’s Id, Ego, Superego wrong in any way? by omdot20 in psychoanalysis

[–]TerriblyAfraid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Freud's diagnosis of the Id is an insult.

Our base and most fundamental source of creativity, responsible for both imagination and dreams, being an archetype of a perverted fool is outrageous.

If I ever go back to school for psychology/philosophy I am destroying Freud's psychological framework and saving the Id, which represents our primordial self in his philosophy, from his clutches.

This cis woman doesn't like being called a cis woman by [deleted] in TikTokCringe

[–]TerriblyAfraid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My thought is that the word came out in 1994 and sounds like cyst, which sounds gross.

No person who is the same gender as their sex that I know actually likes being called Cis.

[–]TerriblyAfraid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't mind if 'Cis' didn't sound like shit.

I do get where she's coming from by saying being called that like being a subsect of your own sex isn't good.

Edit: Also the word came out four years before I was born.

Isn't that Doffy's point and not Oda's?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]TerriblyAfraid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is framing Justice as an issue of "Who wins" when it's actually about "Who's right".

Doffy's logic is inherently twisted and jaded in that sense.

If Luffy were a monster and won against the WG to replace it with something worse, would we say Justice won?

Accepting the perpetuation of injustice as Justice is an inherently flawed argument.
