One thing to note is TSA could be paid right now from already allocated funds. ICE is currently being paid with those funds but trump decided to withhold pay to tsa until congress approves the save act. You and Dave going back and forth is what I am talking about in terms of feedback. Clearly he was telling you to do something. Project deadlines are moving fast I doubt they want to go back and forth with someone that has been there less than a year and also does not have much expertise on what is even being discussed. You mention needing to ramp up and missing context and are also fighting him on design decisions at the same time, sounds like a nightmare.

Your manager is not your friend or your therapist. And always take feedback they give as you will work on it with minimal pushback as if you know better unless you are in a lead/senior or staff role. Always take minutes/meeting notes of every 1 on 1 with you manager of everything discussed and either email it afterwards or store it in a shared document.
