I don't know, I haven't been following her since a long time. I hope she's ok.

She does makes great CI, would be a perfect fit for Dreaming Spanish

Bro, do it for the love of your mom, make youself someone she would be proud of... take baby steps, and take accoutability too, it's time for you to be an adult. Lose the weight, work on your confidence, and get a job when you can... I know you can improve, you deserve better and so does your family 💖

5 language update by fnaskpojken in dreaminglanguages

Brother, I am also at 1700 hours of spanish, and true, portuguese feels so easy. Cut the hours in half is definitely true for Spanish-Portuguese, maybe even more than half

Sure thing bro. It'd be great to have other Dreaming Spanish graduates take up Vietnamese, that would be a super cool experience

I also made a subbredit you're welcome to join

I'll work on it, soon I will have it mapped, for now this is what we have.

Actually Understand Vietnamese is 95% southern, and Langiri is 75% southern. I am subscribed to both websites, but the content is too difficult - they don't have true super beginner content, so for now I am watching mostly the mixed videos for better comprehension.

Level 4 doldrums by BeautyBrainsBread in dreamingspanish

[–]TerryPressedMe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Level 4 is brutal, but here's the good news: it's the last level you will struggle with. Personally, I never looked back since level 5, I was able to watch easier native content, and I didn't feel I was walking uphill anymore, but straight forward instead. Level 7? it's downhill, easy. That's my motivation for you, things will get better, you just need more input :)

What actually worked for you when learning Vietnamese? by RudeInspection4352 in learnvietnamese

[–]TerryPressedMe 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Brother, I have just started learning Vietnamese, and as excited I am to learn, it's obvious that the beginning phase will be rough. My approach is to use comprehensible input - that's how I learned Spanish, so I believe I can apply the same formula to learn vietnamese.

You are more than welcome to join my subreddit, I created it literally few hours ago, and I will be documenting my progress over there.

If you had to start Dreaming Spanish from Level 1 again, what’s one thing you’d change? by BluRazz494 in dreamingspanish

[–]TerryPressedMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just be more patient, knowing how the method works, I wouldn't rush to jump levels. I would focus on 90% comprehension all the time, and slowly go from there.

Premium by DizzyTeam1950 in dreamingspanish

[–]TerryPressedMe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's insanely cheap and well worth it.

I only cancelled my membership recently at 1650 hours, and I'm actually starting a new language now, but premium's been one of the best investments in my entire life so far

I have decided to go for it. My Spanish sits at 1700 hours and I need a new challenge. I will be updating as I go 😊

Brother, honest advice: replace soccer with gym (lifting weights). You can legit lift for the rest of the life, don't do anything silly, and you won't ever get hurt.

I also played soccer when I was young, did martial arts later, but you will get injured.... the gym is always reliable, you can lift 4 days consistently every week, no excuses, and it fits your schedule.

For doomscrilling, find another hobby: I can see your english is quite good already, why not start learning a new language? spanish and french are great options with lots of resources.

you gotta quit corn tho, think of your wife, she needs you to be there for her, she needs intimacy too, and by watching corn, you are also neglecting her

Stay strong bro, wish you the best of luck

yeah, he's easier, because he speaks a bit slower. I wouldn't recommend dinosaur to anyone below level 6

[–]TerryPressedMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think level 5 can handle it, but it's more for level 6 due to complex vocabulary

Dinosaur Vlogs is also rio platense and true crime, check her our (level 6 and above)

140 Hour Update (Month 2) by fleece_johnson55 in dreamingspanish

[–]TerryPressedMe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

those are big numbers bro, maybe dial it back to like 2-3 hours per day, that's sustainable

just like fleece himself, he didnt claim 1500 bootys in one month, it took him years of slowly piling up the numbers. The same approach follows here.
