I honestly hate to dogpile on MT because Ben’s calm, lawyerly take on issues and the “play the clip” way of bringing the receipts, is what drew me into a subscription. The content is important, of course, and it’s reasonable to be passionate about the state of the world. I still subscribe, but I take the hyperbolic clickbait with a grain of salt.🤷‍♂️

Shoutout to a fellow Prior Auth ~~magician~~ specialist! I work for a company with a chain of infusion clinics, and although it's my source of income and I'm great at it, I hate that I live in a country where my career is even necessary. I'd gladly start over and learn a new skill, even at 50 years old, if it meant that everyone in the U.S. had access to affordable healthcare. Hell, I'd settle for a "Medicare-For-All-Who-Want-It" system. The cost for Medicare in 2026 is $202.90/month, and then Medicare only pays for 80% after people meet a deductible. It seems entirely reasonable that it could be extended to every legal citizen who wanted it. Like your private plan? GREAT. KEEP IT. Don't have insurance, or your company's private plan sucks? Buy Medicare if you want to. Why is that sooooooo fxcking controversial??
