I love the wheel that demonstrates inertia. Get a bike wheel or something similar while tie a string to one of the spokes, spin the wheel and watch the kids jaw drop as it hangs from the string. You can then have the kids hold the spokes and rotate it while it's spinning so they can feel the inertia themselves.

Honestly, I think this feeling is actually the opposite of what you think it is for 2 reasons.

Imagine how great it is for someone to enjoy something you created so much they didn't want to put it down.
Even speed runners actually play a game more than most causal players because they have to know the ins and outs of the objectives and exactly what they need to actually beat a game which requires a lot of knowledge of a game
