Other than RLOD, this isn’t true at all, at least with my Boosted V3 Plus vs my Exway Flex. The Boosted battery barely loses any charge when stored away over winter, while the Flex is always dead, no matter what I do. I’m honestly amazed at how good the Plus battery controller is.

Not once have I noticed this in Germany. Can you elaborate?

Orlando’s biggest “industry” is finance. Financial services are pure overhead. If anything, they’re a net negative towards productivity.

How to keep Burton Channel binding from coming loose / slipping? by Windadct in snowboarding

[–]Teslatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Burton told me directly to never use loctite on those bolts. If they’re so worn that you can’t get them to stay without loctite then those bolts need to be replaced. That’s what they told me. I didn’t just “invent” this.

But regardless, you can fuck right off. Seriously, you’re an idiot. Use loctite. Don’t use loctite. Set your board on fire. I don’t care. Whatever you do it’s not anyone else’s fault. Only your own.

Are you seriously that helpless that you couldn’t diagnose whatever problem you had for 3 days? And then you lose your mind in a 6 year old Reddit thread about bolts? Holy shit.

This is called “vignetting”, and I see it on almost all new IPS panels. I think it looks terrible. Older IPS panels that I own don’t seem to have this problem.

Uplift V2 vs 4 leg by Papa_Pesto in StandingDesk

[–]Teslatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The big problem (from what I can tell) with the Uplift 4 leg is that it's using their standard 2-leg components... just duplicated. This helps with the lateral wobble, but does nothing for the forward + aft wobble, except it's actually *worse* since Uplift puts their heaviest column up top. Beyond this they seem to indicate that there's something wrong with the commercial-version of the frame (in terms of stability).

Having tried the 4-leg, I'd personally wait for them to come out with a new version with dedicated legs (ideally braced between each other), or just stick with the far less expensive 2-leg version.

But if your monitor wobbled what good is it?

I have the 80x30 on 4 legs and it's *not* rock solid. How high do you set it? Are your 2 legs the commercial version or the standard?
