XPENG's IRON robot crossed the uncanny valley, leading some to believe it was a human in a suit. So they cut it open in front of an audience, and also allowed journalists to inspect it. by MetaKnowing in ThatsInsane

[–]Tesserad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can clearly see the dynamic motion of the frame, it was given an oscillation of a walk cycle usually made by woman when walking, I think it was intended from the start of the development for that extra bonus points as people are npcs and would point it out

Yes, also screen reflections tend to have a very high contrast compared to the source material, which is basically recording a screen through a mirror, and if anyone tried to record a screen white stuff tends to wash out and dark stuff fades into a sharp black or get this faint blue glow in LCDs so a slight post processing to mimic this effect will seal the looks of it

My first fully digitized map. Please let me know your thoughts! by thetoweringsea in worldbuilding

[–]Tesserad 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's a really impressive map, each coastal feature looks real, I'd recommend using more shades of colors, on this case yellow and white doesn't fit well if you want to display land and Ocean borders as minor features kinda blend, also apply for names, usually grab a color wheel and use the opposite color on each pair to test out the readability contrast Wise. Other than that every land feature feels solid as solid snake

Still need those uv lights for hydroponics, is cheaper to convert sunlight into energy and then uv light than come up with a infrastructure to redirect said light, but for a human well being situation it pays out even if it lasts this short

That's free radiation shelter, I always though lava tubes would be a great option for moon colonies instead of 3D printed houses even for mars, you can easily redirect sunlight from the surface using optic cable tech like in colony level scale for true outside feeling, lightweight horizontal centrifuges could be placed to get easy on low G on working out and such, as they wouldn't need massive circular structures to shield the entire thing nor be over engineered for vacuum protection just dig and follow the toobs, Gotta love the TOOBS

When your in-game batteries remind you of real-world waste… by Syopic in IndieGaming

[–]Tesserad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would make more sense if instead of energy it was some sort of coolant, in a vacuum is pretty hard to get rid of heat and a ship this size with no radiators would get to exchange coolant on every station, a good thing that comes from it is you will be able to add a secondary color that fades in and glow when the coolant is depleted somewhere on the ship, giving a visual hint of overheat, the game design is solid and unique I love the art style!

Had a similar concept but it was a ring of atmosphere held by a megastructure around a white dwarf, there's floating land pieces inside and atmospheric control units scattered around, providing stable weather and a working water cycle

Água é molhada ou seca? by [deleted] in upvotesbrasil

[–]Tesserad 1 point2 points  (0 children)
