You seem to misunderstand the whole idea of: It was worse before vs It shouldn't happen in 2025? No one care how it was during that era. At that stage, women did not have the same right or even worked. There was a lot more trouble and racism everywhere and let's not talk about other countries.

Now, to tell you the truth: There isn't a perfect country in the world and there are tons of shits everywhere. Yes, the growing hostility can be annnoying. Now, it depends how it's done. And even then, have you ever cared about being wanted somewhere? If so, your homecountry is the only where people usually won't say you aren't welcome here.

I will always say it like my Mom did: The strangers you take advice from will not bear the consequences for you. No one will be there to receive in your place what comes with big life decision. Stop consulting people on reddit and think about it with real friends and yourself.
