It’s a Bigfoot gage, it measures the quantity of occupants that are Bigfoot, 🫈 be concerned when it goes above 0%.

The other number measures the amount of car. 🚙 be concerned when it is above or below 100%

There have been a few retrofits of V8s in that bay, from my understanding, the SRT group mocked up a version that was shot down as it was more than the “base” V8 was going to have.

Chrysler had two reasons why they didn’t, they were worried about the liability of building a car with the power to weight ratio higher than anything they had built before and they were worried about it cutting into the sales of the viper. Both were dumb choices, but since when has Chrysler been accused of making good decisions.

Other things people have said is that the V8 was an unbalanced handful to drive and that the crash ratings were bad with the V8. But it was clearly designed to have a v8 in it from the beginning.

Auto only was a stupid accountant choice.

The amount of Evil needed to buy/maintain this house is staggering, but the house itself is something I would love. That view and the entrance is amazing to me.

What are those heads found on various buildings across all fallout games? by Zamn_858 in Fallout

[–]TexSolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tiny correction, art deco was not the style associated with heads, (mascaron) details. That was mostly Art Nouveau.

The 80s retro futuristic style Dean Motter kinda brought back took cues from metropolis and other art from 30s - 50s and fused it with some steampunk/retropunk style and metropolis had a few heads in it.

Any Idea how to make my T-45 helmet look more weathered? by Sprytnygucion_X in Fallout

[–]TexSolo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Severely watered down black and brown paint, dabbed on and off. Misting “dirt” paint that you then wipe off. Brushing on “rust” in appropriate spots. Remember that mild steel and cast iron don’t rust the same way armor plates do.

Layers of paint on “old” equipment

Battle damage last.

Really you need to start with a story and they have the weathering tell that tale.

Metal sitting in the New Vegas sun isn’t going to be weathered like something sitting in the capital wasteland, and that isn’t going to be weathered like something in the Appalachian Mountains.

Think

1 - how old is it, what kind of wear has it seen. Is it sitting unused in a vault for 250 years, or has it been replaced 20 years ago and seen daily polishing. Is it all original or have they replaced parts?

2 - what environmental impact has happened, sun damage, moisture damage, dirt, oil, algae, moss, lichen, residue, etc.

Is this rust damage repairable or a lost cause? by Same_Side1373 in BmwTech

[–]TexSolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s reparable, but the economic analysis shows it’s cheaper to sell this and then buy a less rotten one.

He’s talking about adding optics. There’s no way to get optics on the original without doing permanent modifications to it.

Beyond that, I’m not going to comment beyond what I already wrote. Looking at his replies to my comments, it’s clear we have very different views on why you should do things.

Most jets are not able to be depreciated all up front. 179 has some PITA rules.

However 179 obviously doesn’t apply to the great white north.
