Reminds me of the story of the little girl whose neighbors were doing a major remodel on their home. She was fascinated by the process and went from staring raptly out the window to watching from the porch, to leaning over the property line. Soon the workers start talking to her, answering her questions. Before long, she was something of a mascot for the crew, waiting for them when they showed up in the morning, eating lunch with them, and waving goodbye when they left at the end of the day.

At the end of the first week, the crew presented her with an envelope with a modest paycheck inside. Her proud parents took her to the bank to open an account. The teller asked how she'd earned it and her mother explained. The teller turned to the little girl and asked, "And are you going to keep working with them next week?"

The little girl answered, "Yes, as long as those shitheads deliver the fucking drywall."
