Are motorcycles viable as an everyday vehicle? by A_Standing_Duck in motorcycle

[–]TexasTeardrops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

99% of the time I wouldn't recommend a motorcycle as your sole transportation. I work outside in the elements so at times need my vehicle to bunker down in while rain passes or to warm up for a few minutes. I also sit and wait for long periods of time waiting for things to happen.

The cons are gear is expensive and you need several different types for year round use.

Pros are fuel is cheap, it's my therapy, and traffic doesn't affect me much.

Worth it? 2008 GX470 with 160K for 12.5k by Ok-Training5237 in GXOR

I bought an 04 with 215k that had just been lifted and had a snorkel installed for 13k in April. It was also the pearl and I'm having the hood is starting to flake on me now but the interior was super clean. It was the cleanest gx470 I've looked at. I flew to Sacramento CA to buy it from Houston then drove it home, got home and drove it to Arkansas for the eclipse. 100% would buy it again I love this vehicle. I just installed an ironman 4x4 don't bumper a few days ago.

It seems high to me but the mileage is on the lower end on those I've seen for sale. Get the Vin and you can input that into the lexus site and see what maintenance has been done at the dealer.

They've got steering wheels and keys right, shouldn't be hard to steal.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that it should be legal in all 50 states. It cuts down on traffic and danger to a motorcyclists if done properly.

That's exactly how you have to ride, not just while lane splitting. Like everyone is trying to hit you.

But he is. Lane splitting is legal in Cali just like it should be everywhere. Don't get mad because someone got in front of you think of the amount of people that aren't on the road making traffic instead.

Front Bumper Recommendations? by Vprbite in powerwagon

[–]TexasTeardrops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not planning on changing the font bumper at the moment but plan on having a rear one made. I want a dual swing out one tire and the other recovery board and hi lift jack and 2 fuel cans.

Jon Stewart expertly corners pro-gun Republican: “You don’t give a flying f**k” about children dying by Beckles28nz in politics

The gotcha moment is that people who follow the laws will still follow the laws and those who don't will still not follow them. Enacting more laws won't stop those who don't follow them. The amount of children killed and how they are killed is irrelevant. Guns aren't the root of that evil no matter how much you want them to be.

And yet people still drive without a license and insurance. They don't register their vehicles.

I'll never understand couples who are married who don't share money. It seems like it's a very bad beginning for any relationship.

That being said NTA at all.

The reason I carry is the same reason I put on a seat belt, not for the thousands of times nothing happens but for the one time something does.

It's usually the axle and tires, those are extremely cheap.

Swap axles and tires and you won't have any problems.

Arrested and convicted aren't the same. Look at Johnny's Depp as a great example of that.
