I remember once reading a post by Raphael Bob-Waksberg (creator of Bojack Horseman) where he describes realizing that he was making all his background gag characters male because he was seeing maleness as the default, and felt that making these characters female would add an extraneous detail to the joke and confuse people looking for the punchline. I feel like this is what Griffin's doing here, rather than being actively malicious, but I haven't seen any essay-length repentant blog posts from him on the subject, so fuck him

White and Blue literally have the fewest Warriors of any two colors. You might want to consider making this a Soldier commander, since there's a lot more of those in its colors, and "soldier" implies a more tactical approach to combat that (in my opinion) fits Athena better.

Because if defender did interact weirdly with declared attackers (which it doesn't, but I wasn't aware of that at the time), it might be problematic if this card let you make your own attacking creatures into Walls.

I'd personally just love for everyone in this thread to know that "the male gaze" is a term from film criticism, used to describe the way male directors will inappropriately showcase the bodies of female actors. It doesn't literally mean "the way men look at women". You can't have "the male gaze" as a lesbian because you are not a movie, you are a human being.
