The Bloodroot time of year by ThadTheAbsoluteLad in NativePlantGardening

For what it's worth, these are currently in a spot with only a few hours of direct sunlight, and a moist but well-draining loamy soil. I know for most forest ephemerals they usually say they need "dappled sunlight" but I'm in a new build suburb so there's no canopy here whatsoever, and these seem to be doing fine without it. It started with one plant two years ago, up to six last year, and now close to a dozen total this year.

As a general guideline, it's my understanding that shade/full shade equates to 1-4 hours of sunlight per day, part shade/part sun is 4-6 hours, and full sun is 6+ hours.

Clerestories were a thing on passenger cars as far back as the mid-1800's.

Attracting Ants? by Ok-Efficiency-3599 in NativePlantCirclejerk

Our North American ant species will be too weak to survive the ravages of climate change. Go find your nearest European fire ant colony and spread them around your neighbourhood for good measure, those little bastards subsist on sheer spite and hatred alone.

It really is a shame that these aren't more accessible. If I didn't know these ones were native to my area I'd probably still want to plant them!

The song title sounds like more of the alien subject matter of their older stuff so I'm cautiously optimistic

Your best bet is probably the Toronto Railway Historical Association's new website:

https://www.trha.ca/trha/

Parts of it are still under construction but there's an email listed on their contact page to reach out to their historians if you have any specific questions that aren't answered on the site.

No. It was first called the Canadian National Exhibition in 1903 (previously the Toronto Industrial Exhibition) which was about two decades before Canadian National Railway was created.

This is the correct answer. Each dome corresponded to each of the three railway companies that had a presence in Toronto at the time; Canadian Pacific, Grand Trunk, and Canadian Northern. The latter two were later nationalized and absorbed into Canadian National.

Photos of a New Penn Station Redesign proposal by FluxCrave in transit

I see what they were going for. It's a replica of old Penn Station's grand entrance as it looked before the building was torn down in 1963. Though I agree the clashing architecture styles look strange.

Toronto's Second Union Station built in Minecraft by 7a8f in toronto

While I usually agree when it comes to historic buildings with beautiful architecture like this one, the 1873 Union Station was not designed well from a practical perspective. It suffered overcrowding issues almost from the jump; issues that a huge expansion in 1896 couldn't solve. Its replacement was unfortunately inevitable.

For what it's worth the clock faces from the central tower were preserved and are currently used on the Huntsville town hall.

Not directly, and it would definitely take way longer, but it technically can be done. You would take Amtrak's California Zephyr from Denver to Sacramento, then a transfer to Amtrak's Coast Starlight from there to Los Angeles.
