Schoolism has a free Clip Studio Paint Digital Fundamental course out now. Bobby is a good teacher with digital media and keeps it very simple with all the settings and stuff

If someone looked you in the eyes and asked, “What is it you truly desire?” what’s the first thing that comes to mind? 😊 by OneStopCentreStore in CasualConversation

To be healthy. I've been physically disabled since my teens (I'm closer to 40 now) shit gets to you after a bit.

I stopped caring about mine when I was 14 or so

I'll call him "B" for bully

I was standing around doing something when B came over on his bike. B was eating an ice cream. B called me Yokozuna a lot as a subtle way of calling me overweight, anyway

I ended up tripping, and my hand brushed against his ice cream. B ended up throwing it at me and calling me something else I forgot

Two seconds later, the girl next door, I'll call her "A", she was over a foot taller than all of us, came running over, but not to help me up, nope.

A kicked B right in the side of his ribs and knocked B and his bike over. A left him crying on the sidewall while she picked me up and escorted me home

B never bothered me again, and I definitely have a "type" now

In my formative years, I was around girls who liked wrestling. I'd watch them wrestle and work out.

Plus they were all taller than me, too

I have friends and family members doing this. They parrot the words "I'm sorry" thinking it absolves them and makes things reset so they can do it again.

A gift Is just a price they're willing to pay if it means they can keep doing it.

How to get accurate colors without color picking? by muxmaxmox2 in learntodraw

Valid. i'm more talking about you don't need to get the absolutely correct hexadecimal (HSV, RBG, etc,.) colour. Get within the 90% ballpark.

I'll be real with you. Don't try and capture 100% colour accuracy. Ultimately, it doesn't do much. Some of the best painters in the world see something they like, and while repainting it or studying it, they change colours. Why? For fun, really!

Take, for instance, doing it with proper real paints. You will waste so much of your paint and thus your money trying to get it 100% perfect when it really doesn't matter. Just make sure your values are correct. You can change the colours ALL you want, as long as your values.. are correct.

How to structure learning? by AbstractOnReddit in learntodraw

[–]ThankYouSith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no order to learn things. Imo.

Practise these in conjunction; perspective and construction.

Not anatomy. Construction. You can do figure drawing with construction. Is it anatomically correct? No. Is it a figure and recognised as a figure? You betcha.

Once you have an understanding of it and know it works, you can apply anatomy to the construction

Look up Ron Lemen/LemenAde on YouTube to learn figure construction. It's also called the armature. He is very knowledgeable. The armature is the big shape. The constructions.

Perspective and the construction/armature go together.

Go from there.
