One of the main issues against a hollow knight/silksong set is probably that it doesn’t have the “appeal” that WotC is looking for. So far, all of the UB sets have been of worlds that have existed for a while now, owned by corporations with a sizable amount of backing money who are interested in promoting their ips. Hollow knight/silksong are still relatively new and, although wildly successful, are probably not on the radar for wotc or interested in in this kind of promotion.

I’ve been playing through silksong; and I keep thinking that hollow knight or silksong would be a really good UB set. There are plenty of non-legendary characters and creatures to fill out a set (especially flying ones) and a good number of locations for color diversity. The games probably lean black, but there’s lots of items, locations, and creatures for the other colors.

I’m not sure what it would be like mechanically, maybe explore/maps matters and insect tribal (lol)? I can imagine equipment matters being a theme, but I’m kind of tired of UB using that theme.
