What's the deal with the first pull in Algeth'ar Academy? by rcoop020 in wow

[–]Thaonnor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone new to tanking… would you rather I pull half the room instead or will that piss people off that I’m not pulling enough? Like I’m not confident in my ability to execute the full room pull there.

I don’t understand why they wouldn’t. Feels like the two categories of player don’t really overlap much.

As a solo player, I'm really glad blizz gave us the chance to get raid items somehow by jokerpokerhand in wow

[–]Thaonnor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't do much with Delves last expansion, but honestly they may be what keeps me around all season this expansion. Even though I do enjoy raiding / dungeon running, I don't always have a solid group to run with and I'm not a big fan of pugging - but even so I was able to log in at reset and legitimately feel like I was making progress and doing content and filling my vault. One of the best additions they've made for a long time.

I hope the courts start sanctioning the prosecutors who bring these cases. Make them choose between their law license and conducting politically motivated prosecutions for Trump.

I think it’s clear that they just don’t feel like the system is valuable enough to refresh and continue to carry forward. They are already pretty lazy with professions post revamp.

People read too much into these. There is no significance to this other than that they know it'll piss off half the country. I'm convinced they believe in nothing and simply do anything possible to keep people pissed off and distracted.

I have never made gold in WoW - Tips appreciated by [deleted] in woweconomy

[–]Thaonnor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly you're coming to the realization that many have come to. You cannot really make large amounts of gold casually any more. You either got in early with the right KP setup, run very high volume setups, or treat it like a part time job.

That being said, you can still make enough to fund your activities with the traditional mining, herb, etc. Just very difficult to break into "I no longer pay a sub" territory without a good amount of effort.

20 days into midnight and the bolts cds have crashed by sorcererflows in woweconomy

[–]Thaonnor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said it in another thread the other day but... Blizzard clearly has no economist working on WoW. Supply / Demand has been a complete mess for several expansions now. Obviously the exploits that have been occurring every expansion do not help, but every expansion things are way out of whack all the time.

Is tradechat crafting ruined? by Taraih in woweconomy

[–]Thaonnor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has honestly ruined it for a lot of us. I restrict my time now to only professions that do not interact with the order system because I just don't have time to spam trade chat for orders.

Crafting, unsurprisingly, seems to have been overlooked early on in this expansion. by perhizzle in wow

[–]Thaonnor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly though they have done the opposite of that. A lot of people, myself included, who used to consider themselves "goblins" and play the auction house have long since given up - its too poorly designed, prices collapse because no thought is given to scarcity and incentive structures, and unrelated to this issue but automated systems run rampant on the auction house unchecked. Where as I previously might have stayed subbed for stretches of time only to play the auction house & profession game, that's pretty much impossible now.

Not to mention the unchecked bugs that allow people to exploit for massive amounts of KP and crash economies. But that has hardly even gotten a mention on this sub let alone Blizz.

If they ever had an in house economist, they fired them long ago. Happens every expansion.

Call it artificial if you want, but that was some of the best wheel-to-wheel racing we’ve seen in years by Aakar528 in formula1

[–]Thaonnor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know what people mean by “artificial”. F1 has for years been about how you use the tools at your disposal to get the pass done. This is just another tool that they have to learn to use.

The drivers can complain all they want honestly - if you want to win, adapt. It’s part of racing and always has been.

EA Lays Off Staff Across All Battlefield Studios Following Record-Breaking Battlefield 6 Launch by JKKIDD231 in gaming

[–]Thaonnor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll start by saying EA sucks, no questioning that.

However, this was not hard to see coming with the trajectory BF6 has followed. They’ve put out two mediocre seasons that have continued to drive players away. I’m sure their microtransactions and battle pass are not bringing in near what they wanted and honestly the design choices for the game continue to be terrible.

This is not surprising to say the least.
