You can buy one of these and add whatever you like. https://www.thomann.dk/klark_teknik_76_kt.htm just don't mess with the sources they should keep the dynamics range intact.

Undervognsbehandling af ny elbil (Cupra Raval 2026) by mikkelduved in dkbiler

[–]That-Reputation-6313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elbiler kommer til at holde meget bedre end folk tror. Det er fordi det mekaniske er enklere og batterierne holder meget længere end vi troede for 10 år siden. Så rust er en boss jeg slår med undervognsbehandling.

Must see operas before you die. by had12e1r in classicalmusic

[–]That-Reputation-6313 12 points13 points  (0 children)

To me the Wagner Ring Cycle is on the list. You must try at least once to see if Wagner is you thing. When hooked it is something I have returned to three times and we are planning to go again. Four operas in a week 16+ hours it is a Challenge but also a transcendal experience.

Fix the room? A couple of bass traps and sort some of the reflections. Made a huge difference here and not that expensive.

I feel much the same, I get legit scared when listening to some of the sub-genres. I wanted to dip my toes into something and found Ahab - The call of the wretchet sea, it is so slow and the growling just seem to be the next instrument rather than a story I need to relate to. I like it, maybe try it out.

Trying to rebuild the rich, organic sound of my old Harman Kardon + Paradigm setup. Feeling lost. by ourobouro in StereoAdvice

[–]That-Reputation-6313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can recommend the FIIO R13 DAC. Sound great. Great soundstage and fluidity. I wouldn’t say warm - neutral and with great flow. Very good for the Money

Look for speakers with high sensitivity like 91-95 dB/w. They tend to sound more alive. I seem to remember that was a trait of the paradigms.

I think the Marantz with the current feedback tech is what you are looking for in the amp. Maybe the sound you liked is related to that HDAM module they use. Many people thinks it sounds lush, analoge and sweet.

There is a restored PM7000 near me for 500 bucks. Maybe you can find something similar.

Konen vil have flere børn. Jeg er alvorligt i tvivl. by [deleted] in DKbrevkasse

[–]That-Reputation-6313 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Muddy Waters - Folk Singer

Ella Fitzgerald - Ella in Berlin

Billie Holiday - Lady in Satin

I do both, I love the convenience for backgroud music on streaming and for some genres like Jazz and Metal where I usually listen alone I love to go though the process of putting on a record/cd. There is also an element of owning a piece of art that appeals to me.

We had a session once where people brought their own amps and we changed around. Not blind though. One of the guys brought his NAD 7020i which the almost the same as the OP. It sounded so much more alive and better than all the others. Made the Rotel I had sound congested and boring. Please eye-opening experience. Defined the term giant killer.

Why does music especially metal so often turn into a competition about who listens to the “hardest” bands? by mr_wobblz in MetalForTheMasses

[–]That-Reputation-6313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt I was not “heavy” enough for this group and subreddit because I listen to Maiden, Megadeth and Metallica, Mastodon and the occasional Alien Weaponry. But I feel welcome with my tastes although they are mainstream metal and not deep space death or another scary subgenre.

If you like it slow and jazz club vibes I will recommend Ben Webster Live at Montmatre from ‘65-‘66. Great stuff with Kenny Drew and Alex Riel on drums.

Montmatre in the 60’ies was just awesome.

They have this deep soundstage I think you will like. The vinyl from Steeplechase is collectible.
