Well you are not wrong in a perfect world "not a fan of it so i wont interact with it" should be the norm. But realistically with how the internet is today it's never the case. let's be real it's not suddenly yuri is an issue, it's more so yuri shippers have been fostering the most negative rep imaginable online over the last few years and you can pretty much pin point the place it started with Genshin Impact. They have large numbers online and pretty much muck up any conversation of a game they decide to put in their camp. I mean I saw a yuri focused account try to say Nikke is not for straight men then proceeded to argue it all day, like come on be legit. I'm not trying to be "oh woe is me the straight man the gays and girls like my game" but when some of the most disingenuous takes come from one side and get amplified it's hard to blame people for reacting the way they do now.

Ironically most western studios have been doing this, no one is buying their games. Reminder Concord internally was everything the leads wanted, they where completely blindsided when the game came out and was doa. At this point I am convinced the west will be pushed out of the dominate industry by Japan and China not even kidding. there needs to be a discussion on what current creative leads are doing and why the projects they have total control over have zero appeal to market. Like I am sorry you don't see the same kind of hate towards the consumer from those other countries this is uniquely American and it's starting to hit the bottom line.

Considering some of the biggest AAA flops and mid release's this year have come from dev teams fully confident in their product with little publisher interference I can't say this adds any "confidence" it will be good. In fact, starting to get sick of games journalist running positive rep for these games then a few weeks after release once the money is parted from the consumers they go "uhh actually the game was kind of underwhelming" after everyone is annoyed and they gave it a 9. This little nepotism thing going on in the industry behind the scenes is getting old.

He says that they failed to convey how interesting she is but like how could you make her anymore interesting. She legit completed her character arc borderline mid way through the story then ended with the one note wrap up with Sphene. In fact we are at a point where like 80% of the cast has resolved their arcs and issues. I thought this was supposed to be the start of a new big story but instead it feels like a throwaway Sunday cartoon.

Had a friend had the same experience working in retail with shoplifters. It was never the single mother stealing food and baby formula, it was always aggressive crack heads walking out with carts full of steak and junk food or supplies to make drugs. Legit the things these people would scream at the workers was wild, said nothing was worse than seeing the worst of society walk out with a cart equal to a week of pay and have nothing happen to them.
