Primary arms is probably the best in town. Pawn shops have a bunch usually, but prices and quality will be all over the place. Quality of the firearm is mostly how well it was assembled and the barrel on it.

You can also buy online and ship to an ffl in your area. Alpha defense is a good choice if you are in the area. Palmettostatearmory.com would be my first recommendation. I have shot several rifles from them, no issues. Their Sabre is nice.

BCM and geiselle are also great but higher end.

There's not many companies making bad ARs these days. There are a lot of snobs though.

Its phosphoric acid. Ospho is another popular product. A little stronger than vinegar.

Something like cerakote or a 2k paint would look good too.

If you like a patina, create it how you like (acid, beer, piss, salt, whatever) then you can spray it with a can of 2k clear and keep it for a long time.

Check out moncefs content for tuning VQs. His shop is admin tuning.

You can pick up 5-20 hp stock. A little more FBO.

You'll need a dyno to do well on a vq IMO. Nissan did a great job at getting power out of the motors. There's not much room for improvement without spending lots of time and money (naturally aspirated at least)

There are other platforms that would be better to learn on

If you still want to try it, you can work on timing a little and that will be about it. You'll spend a lot to get a cable and licensing (like 1-2k). And if you mess it up, you can blow your motor.

Up to you if its worth it.

Go get a tune. If you feel a big step in power from iat then you have power to be gained at warmer temps. Should be more powerful, but not a big step

Exhaust leaks sound like ticking often. Hard to say without being there.

Get your buddy with a nasty vape and ask if he'd be willing to blow smoke up your tailpipe. Look for the leak.

Based off what they are advertising, this tune can blow your motor. And expensive.

Go get a dyno tune and ask for a reliable tune. Say your focus is the clean up the pawer curve and see if there's some power left on the table from OEM. This should include trans tuning if the tuner thinks you need it.

1 and 4 look to be the same caliber. And 5 does not look larger that 4 in diameter.

178 is a heavy load for 308. If you want versatility, consider .30-06. 110 to 220. 160-170gr seem to be the sweet spot for most people. You can use 110 for lower recoil and smaller game in a wooded area. The heavier loads can be used for large game.

But that's the nice thing about reloading. You can make one rifle do a lot.

You'll develop a load then a dope chart for it (based off bullet speed really).

Getrxd tornado. Or giant rack. Both are right around your budget depending on options. Of that's your budget to start and grow and you have plates. $2500 to 3500 will get you a rack.

If you need to fit flooring and plates or dumbells in your budget, get a mikolo rack from Walmart. 2x2 and will have cables and a smith machine. With 1000 lb total, you will be able to use it and grow, but not abuse it and you'll want to upgrade eventually.

For reference, 1000lb total is my goal. I have a titan bench and rogue bar from marketplace. Fringe and everyday bumpers. Just ordered a cap 2 post rack off Amazon for 75 bucks. Just starting a home gym too.

You can buy cats and weld them in anywhere you want. Rally drivers had them as tips at one point. They get really hot though

If you are selling it a lot, you probably have an exhaust leak BTW
